Shannon, if you suffer from pain either due to an injury or a chronic condition, this is an excellent medication. It is the best narcotic pain medication you can get. The worst problem with it is the side effects and the fact that it is highly addictive.

My dr.s put me off work and told me to sign up on disability. well they say it will be 10-11 months to see the judge and have no insurance no $ no nothing right now. we have an eldely dog that has bad arthritis,i have been giving her 1/2 of a 5 mg tab twice a day,it to works well,but like with all ir meds,there is peaks and valleys. the new reformulatedoxicodone 40 mg ones do not work and have bad side effects. ## I take it you are referring to the time released formulation Oxycontin? We've had many complaints about them not working as well as the old formulation and causing bad/unusual side effects. However, I'm sorry to inform you that there are no longer any generic versions of it on the market. The name brand Oxycontin is the only one that is now available. Having several on the market from various manufacturers made it harder to keep track of the supply and increased the risk of theft and diversion. There are generics available of the regular release formulation, which would be Roxicodone, but not for the time released. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed 1 to 2 15 mg Oxicodone Amide every 6 hours. Is there a different type, maybe oxicodone hydrochloride that works better at same milligrams? ## There is a time release formulation of Oxycodone available, it is only available as the name brand Oxycontin and is taken ever 12 hours. The one manufactured by Amide is an instant release formulation, so it is meant to release all of the medication, as soon as you ingest them. There is also a regular release formulation that is available as a generic and under the name brand Roxicodone. Are there any other questions?

I use oxicodone 15 mg . It is white with and a line in one side and a e 7 in the other. I have a blue round pill that has an R on the top and 215 on the bottom. I cannot remember if it is my Oxycontin or the generic for it.
