Can 300mg irbesartan tablet be cut in half (abisart brand)? ## Hello, Bell! How are you? As long as it isn't time released, then yes, you can cut it, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. However, if it is time released, then no, it is not safe to cut it. ## I have been prescribed 75mg irbesartan and take a half tablet daily. There is no split line on these tablets so are they suitable for half dosing? ## Got it, thank you. ## The lack of a score line indicates that it's not usually intended to be split. I've always been able to sit in the sun, but I have noticed when I'm out in the sun my skin starts really burning and stinging. Does Irbesartan cause photosensitivity? ## Almost all medications can cause it, including these ones used to treat blood pressure, and heart conditions, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. It would be best to use sun block, when out in the sun, to be extra cautious. Are you on any other medications?

Having been on Irbesartan (300mg) and Nebivolol (10mg x2 a day) I have now been prescribed Amlodipine for the last 2/3 weeks. Apart from the swollen ankles, along with stiffness and a tight feeling which GP mentioned was a possibility of taking the latter, I am now suffering horrendous cramps in my left thigh and also severe muscular pain in the side of my neck. My blood pressure has certainly improved with the Amlodipine but the disturbed sleep and agony of cramp/muscle pain is becoming unbearable. Should I carry on persevering or see the doc? ## Hello, Sophetta! How are you? Yes, please see your doctor. Some of just can't tolerate Amlodipine, I had similar problems with it and had to switch to another medication. There's a chance things may improve, but in most cases with this...

I really worry that it imay these medication's causing me this problem. Especially IRBESARTAN. What do think? ## Hello, Earnie! How are you? It could be due to the Irbesartan or the Spironolactone, the latter especially if you're becoming dehydrated. How much fluid do you take in each day? The FDA lists other possible side effects as including nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension.

ANXIETY ## This is not used for anxiety. It is Avapro 300mg. It is a medication used for high blood pressure and to help expel any extra water in the body. Side effects include inability to pass urine, heart palpitations, dizziness. ## Yep, nenene is correct, the generic/drug name for this is Irbesartan, and it is most definitely an Angiotensin II Receptor Agonist, which really has no other uses other than to lower blood pressure. I even looked up several monographs on it, at various sites, and anti-hypertensive is the only use that is indicated and approved by the FDA and stated by the manufacturers. I supposed it is possible the person thought, by the looks of it, that is was some form of antianxiety med or a Benzo. Many people do assume that all meds that are related or the same look...

white oval pill number 2873 on one side, heart imprint on other side ## I'm sorry, I can't find a listing for this in any of our resources. The marking makes me suspect that it's an over the counter product. Does anyone recognize this? ## If it's white to off-white, biconvex and oval shaped with a heart debossed on one side and the number 2873 engraved on the other, it's Aprovel 300mg which contains 300mg irbesartan. Used to treat high blood pressure.
