my doc told me he was giving me norcos but the bottle says generic for lortab white oblong IP109. so is it a Norco or lortab? ## Hello! How are you? I'm sorry about the confusion, but I'm happy to clear it up for you! Norco and Lortab are both name brands for a medication that contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, so it it really doesn't matter which one your pharmacy lists on the label, they have still provided you with the correct medication. The tablet you've received is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen (NDC 53746-109). Inactive Ingredients: - Crospovidone - Povidone - Starch, Corn - Stearic Acid The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potent...

White small oblong pill with ip110; norco. Why it doesn't work as good as watson? ## This tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Norco. NDC: 53746-110 This tablet is made by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. As to why it may not work as well as the ones made by Watson, well, it is a generic version of the drug. I know when you are given a generic or read the information pamphlets about them, you are told that they are exactly the same as their name brand counterparts, however, this is done to try to prevent people from being afraid to take needed medications. The truth however, is quite different. Under federal law, generics are allowed to differ in the active ingredient from their name brand counterparst by as much as PLUS OR MINUS 20%. The FDA consi...

Hi: I have been taking 36 01 v generic norco by Qualitest for a couple years now, due to a long list of pain issues. Since the Fed Law has been changed and I can no longer get refills on my prescription, I was also informed by my pharmacy they no longer carry the yellow 36 01 v and wanted to give me ip110. I finally found a pharmacy that had 70 of the yellow and gave me 20 of the white ip110. I find the white ip110 does not work well at all. I felt them a little faster but they are not as string and wear off very quickly, unless I double up on it. Why have all pharmacies stopped carrying the yellow 36 01 v? Also is there a difference with hydrocordone Bitartrate? I took white ones a few years ago (1 a day though was 3x's a day) and it gave me heart palpitations. So of course I'm...

I have been taking Watson's m365 (10mg) for nearly a year. I've never had any adverse effects. Recently I switched pharmacies and they have ip110's instead. I'm now experiencing itching, headaches, bruising, more pain or less effectiveness and (as weird as this sounds) I pass out and sleep 3-4 hours after taking 2. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. What's the difference and how do I explain this to my pharmacy, so they understand the importance of ordering Watson? Thank you for your help with this. The pills look alike. Both are white and oblong. The only difference is the imprints listed above. ## The bruising is a concern and could signal a medical problem that requires treatment, as reported by the NIH. You need to see your doctor and have that checked out. Easy bru...

Not long ago I was given by the pharmacy a Norco IP110. Where as I had pushed this bottle aside and forgot it, I was dumb. These are the same as M367 which is Norco, an opiate for pain relief. I as well was at my aunts and she had thrown about 50 of them away, as she thought they were generic tylenol from Walmart, though I had stopped her. My point is, when the pharmacy gives you NEW SHAPED pills and/or color etc., they often forget to post the bottle. I almost made a very big mistake. The way things are in the world, opiates are hard to get prescribed and I for one am allergic to everything but this. LOOK at the bottle and question the pharmacy. ## Yes, that is correct, both tablets you mentioned contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodi...

Is there a difference between norco IP 109 and norco M 365? If so, what is it? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? They are just manufactured by different companies. The one with the IP 109 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and the one with the M 365 marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, but both are listed as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Many other people are telling me that ip 110 which is another generic form of hydrocodone 10/325, does not work for them nearly as well as watson 853, which is a better generic of the same thing - hydrocodone 10/325. Obviously, pharmacies are buying ip 110 cause they are cheaper. What else is known out there, and in other people's experience, is it the same? I would like to know? ## Hello, Dr. Moki! How are you? I've actually taken both of them, at different times when it was prescribed and found them both to work well for me. Just like any other medication, it can vary from person to person. The additional thing you have to remember is that most people don't post or talk about a medication, unless they've had a problem with it, there is a much larger number of people th...

maker of oval shaped white Norco imprint lp 110 please? ## Hi alancat, To answer your question, Amneal Pharmaceuticals is the name of the company who produces "IP 110" generic Norco 10/325 tablets; used for moderate to severe pain. The pill is described as being a white oblong-shaped tablet with a score line going down the center on one side and IP 110 on the other. This can all be verified by looking at the manufacturer's product catalog at: prd03.apsiva.net/amneal/#/details/2023/30100924; where you'll also notice a photograph of the tablet on the top right part of the page. I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

Hi there, if you have been on this pill IP109 and Norco for a number of years & it no longer is helping... instead of increasing the dose myself like alot of us do..Should I talk to my Dr about raising me up to a 7.5 or a 10mg because the Physical Therapy & Trigger Point Injections (TPI) are not helping that much and are actually causing more pain & discomfort. Thank you. Love & Light your way!!!! ## Hello Denise! How are you? Yes, it is never safe to increase the dosage on your own, additionally, if you run out early, your doctor may be afraid that you're abusing your medication, which could cause them to refuse to continue prescribing it for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause si...

I've been taking Norco 10/325 for quite some time and have noticed a MAJOR difference in quality and effectiveness between manufacturers. To me the Mallinckrodt 367 are the most effective all around. Interpharm/Amneal (same company /have merged) IP110 version comes in second for me. Watson seems to be the worst with noticeably much less effectivepain relief and with me seems to act more like a sedative, knocking me out which sucks when you want to be functional/productive. Qualitest is okay but seems to be similar to the Watsons only with less sedation. Personally if the pharmacy doesn't carry Mallinckrodt or Interpharm/Amneal then I won't fill my prescription there. I know this subject has been discussed here many times before but I figure since the recent apparent formula ...

When I take the yellow Norco 10-325, I usually wait about 30 minutes till they take affect and most often feel somewhat energized and a bit more relaxed. When I take the P110 10-325 hydrocodone, I feel lethargic and often drowsy and sad. Why is there such a difference? ## Well, there can be some fluctuation in the amount of the active ingredients when go from a name brand, such as Norco, to a generic, like the one with the IP 110 marking. Hydrocodone is a narcotic and you may actually be getting a little more of it in the generic one, so that may be why you feel more lethargic and drowsy when you take it. Learn more Norco details here. If it's that problematic, you could try asking your doctor to prescribe it as brand medically necessary, to avoid the problem. Are there any other qu...
