I am Asthmatic with Pulmonary Fibriosis. Suffered pneumonia where my lungs collapsed. I recovered after 5 days of indused coma. It is now 2 &1/2 years of a lot of drugs combination because my right side of the heart is failing because of poor oxygen circulation. i take a daily dose of 7.5 mg of prednisolone, lasix Amzart for HBP, spiriva, unicontin, zarcon etc. With so many drugs, oedema, what can i do to stop taking Prednisolone? ## Have you discussed this with your doctor(s)? That would really be the best thing you can do. Those are serious medical issues that could put your life in danger, so it would really be remiss for anyone online to advise you to stop taking it or to make any changes to your medication regimen. I understand your concern, it can be a dangerous medication that...

My doctor made a mistake on my prescription which was later corrected. I was taking 3 mg tablets. They took a long time to kick in. The mistake was 1 mg tablets. When I took 3 of the 1mg tablets, they kicked in immediately and I could barely wake up the next day. I've gone down to two of the 1mg tablets and am sleeping so much better. Does Lunesta metabolize differently in the different sizes of pills? I cannot find any information on this. ## It isn't that it metabolizes different, but they will just digest and be released differently in your stomach. The 3mg tablet is larger, so it will take awhile longer to start to digest… but the 1mg tablets are small and get digested quicker, so the medication is released quicker. Does that make sense? If not, please let me know and ...

I just want to ask, what vitamins should I take to make my lungs healthy and strong? ## Hi Douglas, According to an article by 'Livestrong', evidence for the case of taking vitamins for lung health is reportedly inconclusive, however, some studies point to potential beneficial effects from taking vitamins A, B-6, C, D & E. On the other hand, taking too much of certain vitamins may be counterproductive. Concluding my investigation, eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables (for an array of phytonutrients) is a key component to maintaining healthy lung function throughout one's life; & in my opinion, can be even better than taking supplements with isolated vitamins. I hope this helps!

My husband was diagnosed 19 months ago with stage IV metastatic to the brain lung cancer. After tumor removal from brain and traditional chemo and radiatiation to the brain , he started on Xalkori 11 months ago. Initially his tumors shrunk in half and his scan showed today that the tumors are still stable. Our insurance has changed and now our copayment is 5x what it used to be. Has anyone gone to Mexico or Canada to get this job. His blood thinner med has increased by 15x. We are so thankful for his progress but not sure we can continue to afford the treatment due to the cost. Thank you for any info .... i have i think some sort of sleeping pill from asia but i want to make sure it is white and oval has dmc stamped on it with 7.5 under it and the other side is blank with a line through the middle ## I'm sorry, but I can't find any information on this, most of our resources are only relevant for U.S. and Canadian medications. Do you have any idea as to the specific country it might be from? Do you have any idea what it is supposed to contain? The 7.5mg makes me suspect that it may be Zopiclone, it's sold in Canada under the brand name Imovane and as Zimovane in the U.K. It's the only one I can think of that comes in that dosage. It's closely related to the American medication Lunesta, which contains Eszopiclone. ## dmc+

will this tablet put on weight? can i consume it daily after lunch or dinner? will this really help in hair growth and premature hair etc? is this better than pabatab bz ? ## Hi ruhi, From what I can gather, Bitozed Forte is a multivitamin/mineral combination with Biotin and Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B- 5). This multivitamin shouldn't cause weight gain. Biotin is a very popular supplement for the health of the hair, skin, and nails. I've taken a similar supplement with Biotin before and it did seem to make my hair/nails grow faster and stronger. However, there is no way to know for sure how well it will work for until you try it. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Biotin Details You can learn more about this drug on the page for Pantothenic acid Details I hop...

I wanted to comment on Chantix. I was sceptical at first but desperate to do something as I almost died from smoking. I got H1N1 and because of my pack a day habit my lungs were weak enough that I got double pnuemonia and was hospitalized for a week. Almost didn't make it. After that I started smoking again like an idiot and went to Chantix for help. I quit in 4 days..... By the third day the taste of a cig was so terrible that I took one puff and threw it on the ground. I almost had to force myself to smoke. I kept taking the pills for 3 weeks. I quickly saw side effect that I do not understand. I am hoping someone on here can answer some questions for me. People are complaining about suicidal thoughts, depression, etc... ## need ingredients in poly vent forte ## does it have codeine in it ## Some information on Poly-Vent: 'Poly-Vent contains Guaifenesin and Phenylpropanolamine Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It is used to break up congestion and mucous to make breathing easier. Guaifenesin thins mucous, increases lubrication of the respiratory tract (lungs, nose and throat), and increases the removal of mucous. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant. since i started taking this medication i find it very difficult to pass urine...is this normal?? ## Looks like this medication isn't manufactured in the US, but I was able to find the active ingredient to be Bisoprolol. Side effects for this drug are listed below (I believe one or more of these side effects can indirectly make it difficult to urinate): Overdose of Bisoprolol leads to fatigue, hypotension, low blood sugar, bronchospasms and bradycardia. Bronchospasms and low blood sugar because at high doses drug can be an antagonist for 2 adrenergic receptors located in lung and in liver. Bronchspasm due to blockage in lungs of 2 receptor and low blood sugar because of decreased stimulation of glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis in the liver via 2 receptor.
