I am taking the above medication and am having a severe pain in the back of my head. Like a shock. Any ideas if this is something serious? Im also taking amoxicillian with it. My doctor changed my medication from Lortab 7.5 500 to Norco 7.5 325, but now i'm super sleepy for about 2 hours now. Do you know what they will substitute the hydrocodone whith ## Hi Rhonda, They're not actually discontinuing this medication. All they are really doing is lessening the amount of Acetaminophen in their products. It started sometime earlier this year, but all manufacturers have to abide by this new law which only allows up to 325 mgs of Acetaminophen. This is primarily due to safety concerns with liver toxicity. Some pain management patients suggest taking an extra Tylenol to make up for it. However I wouldn't necessarily recommend more of something that is considered to be so toxic. I have had a fever ranging from 100.5 to 102.0 for just over 24 hours. Fever went away and felt great all day today. But came back this evening. My body aches so bad and cannot get comfortable or fall asleep! I took a hydrocodone 5/325 an hour ago and my temp is still up. Is it OK to take a 500mg naproxen? It sounds like your best bet would probably be to ask your doctor for a stronger pain medication (that you can take less of) or opt for a safer, more natural alternative that can be used as an adjunctive therapy to what you already take.
