Hydro Cough Syrup

There is no expiration date on this cough medicine. It is hydrocodone-chlorpheniram that was filled on 9/2/14. I've took Cheratussin AC, M-End DM, neither even touches my cough, it's been going on for over a month and a half now! My question is whats a good cough medicine that will work? I also am prescribed 10/325 Lortab. So if there was a good cough syrup that would work if it had hydro in it, would I be able to be prescribed it since Im on Lortabs? Hello, I am curious to know if moving that my doctor would double my dose of cough medicine, antibiotics just in case, for me due to not being able to find a new doctor right away in California. As well as laws that prohibit me from filling a prescription from Wisconsin that was written before becoming a resident. I currently receive 8oz at a time for my bronchitis flare ups and continuos post nasal drip that happens frequently. I understand that it's a lot of syrup to have but never have used it other than for symptomatic relief.

My doctor prescribed it for cough and sinus headache. He said it would help me sleep. However..it doesn't. I'm really tired and it has not helped my headache or to help me sleep. Should I tell my doctor or just hope the antibiotics help fast. He gave me a steroid shot around 11:30 this morning. Could that be what is keeping me up? ## Hello, Sharon! How are you feeling? Has there been any change? Ironically, all 3 of the medications you've mentioned could cause a headache, as a side effect, according to FDA reports and the steroid can cause insomnia. My son had a broken leg and was prescribed hydrocodone 7.5 liquid. I had a vistor come over and use the bathroom where the medicine is. Due to her reputation, I checked after she left. I had tasted it before because my son complained about the taste. I tasted it just now and I'm pretty sure it's watered down based on my memory. I'd like to be 100% sure before confronting her. I was originally prescribed hydromet which I know has a narcotic in it the pharmacy gave me chlo tuss liquid! From my research this product has no narcotic in it.
