I have been taking Urbanol 10mg and Allergex (not sure of the mg) one tablet of each medication twise a day. I often feel like i am just going to drift off to sleep and have done so a few times whilst at work. Good day, I started a dose of urbanol 5mg capsules 5 days ago. I do feel the edge going off, because I was extremely anxious and had bad panic attacks. I feel it does help, although I'm not 100% yet. I have a very sore throat. Could that be a side effect? To add, I am a smoker and have been smoking more. Any advice if its a side effect and does smoking cause anxiety? Thank you. ## Hello, Natasja! Hi there, I was on tripelene for a couple of years then went off it trying to seek a natural way to help with my anxiety and to sleep. But the natural meds never helped then my Dr prescribed 10x xanor which helped then he gave me another 10 x xanor and when I asked for more he said I can not use it for a long period, so he prescribed urbanol, well I can't sleep. I was treated for Lumbago shortly before back surgery ( Fusion + Laminectromy) I also took 2x 10mg/day Urbanol in the weeks before for stress. I stopped the Urbanol on admission to hospital. I took prescribed 8 mg/day Zefo tablets for 8 days untill the day before my operation and stopped it since my children said I acted weirdly after taking them. I am 67 years old. I found that there was acute numbness in both legs 5½ weeks after the operation when I ripped off my surgical stockings.This persists up to today 14 weeks later. Neurosurgen had no comments on 6 or 12 weeks - says he is satisfied. I think possibly Urbanol withdrawal symptoms. I have been prescribed Eplepton for extremely restless legs which cause insomnia. In addition my thyroid has gone from being underactive to overactive so therefore my meds were reduced. I also over a period weaned myself off one tramacet and one celebrex which I took every night for approximately three years for neck pain. I discontinued taking these two tablets as I was extremely sleepy during the day. Lastly I was prescribed urbanol for depression as well which I also weaned myself off soon after discontinuing the use of tramacet and celebrex. I started on 5mgs of Brintellix in February. All my anxiety was gone after the first few days but my depression remained bad. I gradually brought my dose up to 20mg 6 weeks ago and yesterday my depression was almost gone. I also have roller-coaster downs on this tab. Hopefully it's kicked in. The only thing is I can't sleep. I take Zolpidem 10mg at 12am and Urbanol 10mg when I wake up at 3:30am. My sleep is restless as I look after my mom and dad in their 80's.
