The Hydrocodone in the Vicodin/Lortab is a potent narcotic analgesic. But the Tramadol is just a centrally acting analgesic, though it is derived from an opiate, it is nowhere near as strong and effective as the opiate narcotic class. VA Cutting back amounts is there anything to use with it or in place of for degenerative arthritis in neck, upper &lower spine, hips & wrists? ## It's been a while since I've ever had to take hydrocodone, but I think the answer to your first question may also depend on each individuals tolerance to the medication as well as their personal level of pain. Based on the 'usual adult dosing schedule' of 1 tab every 4-6 hours, the effects will probably begin to diminish at or around that time frame. As far as adjunctive therapy goes, I would recommend looking into various natural anti-inflammatory herbs, such as: Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon, Garlic, & Cayenne, to name a few. I hope this helps!

I have been taking norco 10/325 yellow oval pill for a few years but yesterday what I got was different they were white oblong pills which says hyd/apap 10/325 mg tab amnea on it and the numbers on the tablet are G 037. &I have been on hydrocodone 10 /325 : 4 to 5 times a day taken 1 every 6 hours. I've taken it for 6 years. In the beginning it worked great for my breakthrough pain but eventually it stopped being as effective, so my doctor switched me to 10 milligrams of oxycodone hcl 3 times a day Just recently but 10 milligrams did not seem to be enough,So I began taking 20 milligrams in the morning and 20 milligrams in the evening sometimes needing 10 milligrams during the night if I wake up in pain. I take 8 - 30mg Codeine daily, put some days need a bit more. I have some Hydrocodone 5/ace 500. can I add one or two of these, or take additional Codeine ## You can take 60 mg of Codeine every 4 hrs. But, if they contain 500 mg of tylenol instead of 325 mg, you can only take 2 every 6 hrs due to the high amount of tylenol. Hydrocodone is stronger that Codeine, so you may want to take the hydrocodone only instead.

I am super scared... I have taken a total of 17 hydrocodone 10/300 today. I read (afterward) that 90mg of hydrocone is lethal.
