Hi there. I have been on oralcon for a few months, perhaps a little bit longer than a year. Things have gotten so hectic lately that i forgot to take some pills. I completely lost track of what pill I was on in the pack. I then decided to wait it out, get my period and then start taking them again and start "fresh" and keep proper track. My cycles were always spot on and never longer for 3 days and 28 days in-between periods. I am however a week late. Stressing out here. What can this mean? No signs of it coming soon either? ## Hello Irene, First I'll answer your question, according to the FDA and NIH Oralcon has a half life cycle of approximately 36 hours and it is generally accepted that it takes between 4 and 6 cycles to completely leave your system. This means that the O...

It's been 1 week, and 4 days since I last drank a dose. I feel more over whelmed than anything at this point. I'm going crazy in my own head doing anything to drowned out the thoughts constantly watching movies, listening to music, and complicating the positives and negatives well continuing school. It's been almost 6 years since I started taking opiates my body is decayed, malnourished and run down. What I thought was a short term program after trying to quit opiates several times at detox on my 17th birthday I joined the methadone clinic in desperate need. At this time in my life I can truly say I didn't want to get better I was diagnosed with PTSD, and social anxiety. my daily doses was 95 mg plus I still had been abusing OxyContin when available it took me a year and...

How long does opana 40mg work for in your system? I took half of one just because I had nothing else for the pain. Then I tried to take my regular medicine and it's like it stopped it from working. How long till this goes away and I can take my regular medicine? It is the ER tablets btw. ## Hi Brooke - the Extended Release Opana is meant to work in your body for about 12 hours, with a half life of about 9-11 hours.[1] May I ask what your other medicine is? It would be important to check for potential drug interactions too. And with a half life of up to 11 hours it would still take some more time to be fully metabolized in your body. Days I would think. I've been on zubsolv 5.7 for 6 months and I'm getting myself down to a quarter of a pill a day. I'll take a quarter of one for 6 days and I'll run out. Does anyone how how long the withdraw and the half life will last? ## Hello, Joe! How are you? The withdrawal can vary from person to person, because much of it depends on your own body chemistry, so there's no precise time frame I can give you for that. It may be a week, or it may take a month. The elimination time can take anywhere from 10 to 252 hours. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was on lexapro for nine months. I put on ten kilos and so I changed to pristiq six weeks ago. I felt awful the whole time and so have decided to go off all medication. I have gone cold turkey three days ago. I'm constantly dizzy, it feels like my brain is a second behind real time. I have terrible diarrhea and my whole body hurts. Strangely enough I am a great deal happier in my mood. A little anxiety but so far no depression or rage. Should I expect worse? How long will it all last? ## After being on them for almost a year, it may take several weeks for the effects to all taper off, because your body has to readjust your brain chemicals on its own. Learn more Pristiq details here. If you quit just 3 days ago, it may get a little worse and you could still experience some rebound e...

Omg I'm f***n miserable! I didn't think I would have withdrawals this bad after only a month and a half of taking thus drug everyday. It's literally comparable to a milder xanax withdrawal. Yes, I did abuse it. I would take 3 0.1 mgs 2-3 times a day. Tolerance goes up extra quick with this drug. I have none left and I'm on my 3rd day of feeling like s***. I'm on a hundred and 30 milligrams of methadone every day, and it's not even taking care of me in the morning times because of how s***ty I feel. Woah good lord I f***d up royally lol my tolerance for things is always extra high because of how long I've done drugs. I refuse to tell my clinic and I just need some help because I can't find any info about how long it stays in the body when you stop it cold ...

I've been taking Metanx for 6 days now; the pain in my feet has decreased but now I have tingling in both legs and at night I have some minor tingling in my torso and face. Does anyone know how long this type of side effect lasts? ## Hello, Niecy! How are you? Metanx is just considered a medical food, because it's a supplement that contains nutrients known to support nerve health. Thus, it doesn't actually alleviate pain or cause side effects, so to speak. The tingling may just be due to the nutrients improving the circulation in your body, but you should have it checked out, just in case. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello~ I’ve been taking 5/325% for severe back pain due to an injury since 2012. I had surgery in 2014. I’m still experiencing severe pain and have been taking the Percocet since. Recently my doctor has prescribed MS Contin 15 mg. Although it did take the pain down a few notches, I became very dizzy and it felt like the world is spinning around me. I actually stumbled a few times which I felt was putting me at more risk. Then came the nausea and the feeling sick part. My question is, what are peoples experience as far as does the dizziness and nausea feeling go away after you’ve been taking it for a few days or longer? I realize that everybody and every body is different, but I would love to hear others’ experiences to help me decide whether I will continue takin...

I began Topamax a week and a half ago as a migraine prevention. I am experiencing random facial, hands, and feet numbness. Mental fogginess, dull headaches, and tiredness. For those of you who have had success with migraine prevention and have taken this medication for a long time: How long did your side effects last? I have heard only a few weeks. I'm not sure If I can deal with this constantly much longer. I am contemplating which is the lesser of the two evils side effects vs. migraines. I have lost 10 lbs. though. Any advice? ## I haven't used this medication, but what you are experiencing are normal side effects of it and I can tell you that in most cases, they start to taper off about 4 weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication. Have you consulted your doctor about the...

I've been on Quasense for about 6-7 weeks. I know they say to stick it out for 2-3 months. But between the constant bleeding and cramps I don't want to be on it anymore. I don't even use it for birth control, I just didn't want my period so often. I go on vacation in 10 days, if I stopped taking it now how long might my period last? Remember I've only been on it for about 6 weeks. ## There's really no definitive way to say, it can vary from person to person and depend on your body's reaction to the hormones in it. The withdrawal bleeding could last a week, or so. Have you consulted your doctor?

I have a rash all over my body after a 10-day course of nitrofurantoin mono macro. The rash started the day after I finished the antibiotic. How long can I expect it to last as the itching is driving me crazy!! ## Hello, Sharon! How are you doing? If it's an itchy rash, then that's most likely from an allergic reaction, the rash that antibiotics can cause as a side effect is specifically called a non-allergic rash, because it just causes a topical skin rash, with no itching or hives. Learn more Nitrofurantoin details here. Have you consulted your doctor? An allergic rash may require proper medical treatment and you will most likely not be able to take this antibiotic again, in the future. ## I'm 28 yrs old and was prescribed macrobid 100mg for a bad bladder infection yesterd...

I took a hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg at 9:00 pm last night. How long would it still be in my body for? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? The FDA lists it as having a half-life of about 3.8 hours, it takes 5 to 6 half-lives for full elimination, so that would be about 19 to 22.8 hours. The medication is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Have you visited a dentist, about the tooth issue, yet? If you have an infection, it could be what's causing these symptoms. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## ...remains in your bloodstream no longer than 20 hours. I was recently started on neurontin and even before discharge I advised the psychiatrist that I was having reactions. He felt they were occurring from starting Geodon and stopped that one. I was having discharge on Friday April 27th. Symptoms worsen and I read more on neurontin and really am concerned. I called the BSU as I wanted guidance and was told to discontinue it. I am unable to remember the start date but thinking it was possibly the Tues or Wed of last week. I REALLY am very concerned about permanent damage... It is a low dose 100 mg TID. I see my primary tomorrow for hospital follow up. HOWEVER, I could use reassurance as I am clearly very anxious and VERY fearful, especially about my memory... Could I have some more guidance and perhaps reassurance?? I am very very concerned ...

Iv took pain for years.now i want quit how long does the side effects last? ## Hello, Dave! How are you? Tapering off of them, rather than stopping cold turkey would best and should help to minimize the withdrawal symptoms. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule. I can't really give you a definitive time frame for how long they will last, a lot of it depends on your body and how it reacts, but usually it takes a week or two. ## Just started subs 8m.g 2m.g...six days ago...I had a tooth pulled and now have dry socket...how long will the subs remain in my system? ## The last 4days I have took 5to 6 hydrocodone 10/325 a day yesterday I didn't and today I didn't but I still feel light headed and flirting in my ches...

If a person took 4 vicodin 5/500 how long would the side effects last because my grandmas dr. told my mom she could when she's in severe pain only once in 48hrs. ## It isn't going to last 48 hours, even if she takes that many, it is only going to last for maybe 6 to 8 hours, she may be lucky and get 10 hours of some pain relief, if her body processes it slowly. The main issue with these and taking so many of them, at once, is the Acetaminophen, it can be toxic in amounts of over 4 grams or 4,000mgs in a day and by taking 4 of these, she would be taking 2grams of it, at once. Most elderly people also process medications much slower than younger people, so it can stay in her body longer, so using that much too often could create serious ill health effects. If she is suffering from...

If there was a fever caused by overheating or blanket, how long will it last? A day? Hour? ## Hello, Christina! How are you? As reported by the NIH, it shouldn't last very long, at all, if it was solely due to the blanket. Basically as soon as the body starts to cool off, the fever should start to lower. If it does not, then it was likely caused by some illness and not the heat of the blanket. Is there anything else I can help with?

They gave my mom 4mg of morphine in her iv. How long do the effects last, ## Hi jen, According to nhtsa.gov, morphine is said to have a short half-life of 1.5 to 7 hours. They go on to note that close to ninety percent of a single morphine dose is excreted through urine within 72 hours. However, on the contrary, a different report coming from nih.gov states that morphine has a "plasma" (blood) half-life of 2.5 to 3.0 hours. So when it comes to IV administration, this is probably the half-life I'd refer to for a more accurate estimate. Though this is mostly speculative, it's been thought that after 3 half-life's, a medication like this is typically out of your body / no longer working to relieve pain. There are also other important factors that can determine how long ...
