I came across a scary situation the other day that i think most people on lorazepam might be interested in. I take 1.5 mg of lorazepam a day, have been so for 30 years. My doctor has never mentioned any problems with my medication. Then last week i got a call from her that was frantic and uncontrollable, she kept repeating i have to wean down my dosage and kept repeating if you take oxycodone i could die. It was clear that she wasn't listening to one thing i was telling her. I think most people who take lorazepam are familiar with side effects like any other script, however we also know what works and what doesn't. And I for one am tired of hearing the same explanation that you build up a tolerance. I only have encountered that problem when different mfg merge or deviated from what the formula calls for. ## Agreed. I found out Lorazepam 1mg made by Ranbaxy is not sold any more. Is it available in mexico? And will it come back? ## Hi Liza, From what I've researched, generic Lorazepam by Ranbaxy is not listed as being available in Mexico. However I did stumble upon a couple brand names that are: Lozam and Sinestron. Perhaps either of those would make for a suitable alternative? I have not tried Lorazepam myself so this is only speculation. Apparently the FDA has also had several restrictions placed on Ranbaxy's products (within the last year that are still in effect), preventing them from importing drugs from their overseas facilities into the US. So I was recently prescribed lorazepam (Ativan) (1mg), and took it this morning. This was the third day I had taken it. The first two times, I had no problem. It worked great. But today, I found myself unbelievably sleepy and had to leave class and come home and sleep. I never had this problem before. Granted, I had a bad night of sleep last night, but woke up fine… until I took the Ativan. Any thoughts here as to how to avoid the sleepiness that it may bring next time? Most pharmacies sell watson or actavis lorazepam in my area (LA), but I had serious side effects with no calming effect from watson so I returned to Rite Aid after taking one tablet. I heard that watson was taken over by actavis and they are manufactured at the same factory and same medicine. I used to take qualitest and that worked great but was discontinued. I also tried Mylan which was ok but they are discontinuing as they said they don't have inventory and don't know when the last batch is released. Leading pharma does not work for me, causing serious side effects. I visited or called about 30 pharmacies in my area but they only deal with leading pharma, watson and actavis. Hi. I was first given lorazepam in the blue form, 1mg for my anxiety n panick attacks. I use them sparingly and half used to be enough. Last week I got some lorazepam but they were round and white also 1mg. I don't know if its just me but are they somehow different ## How are you doing, now? My daughter is disabled, non verbal and has severe self hitting behavior issues. She is blind due to retina detachment. She got multiple surgeries for retina reattachment. She still has silicon oil in her eyes to hold the retina in place. From the last two years she has been complaining about some kind of pain but not sure where the pain could be. She tries to punch her head and ears a lot. She is getting treatment by doctors for pain relief but it is not helping. After how many days does Losar (25mg) take to work? ## I am taking Zosert 50mg for anxiety. I also have to take 2mg Lorazepam as I could not sleep. I've been on a pacemaker for the last 9 yrs. If I do not take Lorazepam my bp increases. My cardiologist suggested Losar 25mg which I am now taking for the past 3 to 4 days. I've been taking this new med DEXTROAMP-AMPHET ER 20MG. Because of fatigue and foggy feeling due to pain meds for chronic pain plus I take meds for depression and bad anxiety. I feel the dextroamp-amphet ER 20mg working a little but it still doesn't quit take the tired foggy feeling away and it seems to not last all day. Should I ask to up the dose or ask for instant release so it works better? Seven years of back pain with long history of muscle relaxant and more recently oxycodone and lorazepam. Docs finally did MRI and found Spondylolisthesis Grade 3-4 with bulging disc and appears vertebrae have already fused. Still being worked up by Neuro surgeon. Pain mgmt. just switched me from 10mg Vicodin every 4 hrs to 25mcg Fentanyl patch every 3 days with 7.5 Vicodin every 6-8 hrs for breakthrough. Started patch last week. First seemed to work okay but over the last two patches breakthrough pain has increased with increased pain down my legs. I get sweats then chills with pain in all my joints, arms, legs, hands, feet. I started taking Gabapentin 300mg x 3 daily on May 13,015 for severe shingles pain in my ear, mouth and face. June 16,2015 I began having memory lapses not walking straight as well as anxiety. My doctor told me to go off cold turkey. I was to be taking tylenol for the pain as it was not as severe. Does anyone have a doctor who would easily prescribe me Xanax? I have had success in treating my panic attacks with it in the past, but my current nurse practitioner will not change me off my lorazepam Rx. Ativan makes me tired and does not have the same helpful effect thst alprazolam did.
