I have stopped taking perc 5mg on Sunday still feeling a little funny how much longer will this last??? ## It really depends on how long you were taking it and how much you were taking regularly. It could take anywhere from a few days to about 2 weeks. This is classified by the FDA as a narcotic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and withdrawal effects, if you stop taking it suddenly are normal and may include nausea, headache, rebound pain, diarrhea and dizziness. I started taking methadone about 10yrs ago for pain. Started with 80mg a day and by the 2nd yr I was down to 40-50 mg a day. Over this past year I weaned myself off to nothing VERY slowly. It has been a month and I still can't sleep and feel like crap. Omg I'm f***n miserable! I didn't think I would have withdrawals this bad after only a month and a half of taking thus drug everyday. It's literally comparable to a milder xanax withdrawal. Yes, I did abuse it. I would take 3 0.1 mgs 2-3 times a day. Tolerance goes up extra quick with this drug. I have none left and I'm on my 3rd day of feeling like s***. I'm on a hundred and 30 milligrams of methadone every day, and it's not even taking care of me in the morning times because of how s***ty I feel. I have been on Cymbalta, then changed to the generic Cymgen (30mg) for 8 years. I decided after this amount of time to stop and asked my psychiatrist on ways to do this. FISRT of all, my psychiatrist said that because i was on such a low dose that there will be NO side effects of stopping the drug. My response was to inform her that on days i have missed taking my meds i have severe head zaps and couldn't manage just stopping (Cold Turkey) if that was the case. I have looked everywhere for answers to my questions for the symptoms of withdrawals of Norco but haven't found what I needed. ## I recently ran out of Norco that I have been on for a year. 10/325 at 4 a day. The withdrawals were insane. I have since gotten more meds but I can't get this awful taste out of my mouth nor can I shake this weak feeling I have. I've been on 1-2 tabs of tramadol a day for the last 8 years. A few years ago I tried quitting cold turkey and was unsuccessful due to the worse w/D's ever! About 8 months ago I lowered my dose to 1/2 tab a day and 4 days ago completely stopped. I haven't had any extreme withdrawals other then an upset stomach. Hello everyone who is one methadone and wants to get off. I was on methadone for 6 years....I wanted to get off so I went to a rehab and did a 30 day suboxone detox getting down to 1 mg for the last 3 days. After 2 days off suboxone I started to get sick once again and decided to get back on methadone. That lasted for about a year before I had finally had enough. Methadone is the worst drug. There are alternative ways to detox from opiates. I experienced cold turkey withdrawals after being on methadone for 12 years (90 mg. daily). Living hell. Severe withdrawals lasted two weeks, but less severe withdrawals lasted two months. Further withdrawals lasted for months. I couldn't think, walk, write... I was so miserable. Stopped taking Zoloft cold turkey about 4 months ago had been taking it for over 2 yrs 75 mg. how long do withdrawals last? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? It usually only takes a month or so, so if you're still experiencing symptoms after 4 months, you should have yourself checked out, as there may be something else causing them. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal symptoms as possibly including rebound depression, rebound anxiety, diarrhea, fever, chills and dizziness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I tore my ACL about 4 years ago, and no one will operate on it.I have been dealing with Oxycodone addiction since i was first prescribed my 5 mg percocet. I am currently DETOXING from around 500 MG of oxycodone per day for about the last 4 months. I've Dt'd many times before, but i am in it for the long haul this time. I haven't slept in two nights and tonight isn't seeming to be very promising either. I'm just looking for some support, maybe someone to talk to through the harder times. I would like to chime in here. If all possible do not take oxycontin er. I have been on them for 7 years now. I was taking Norco for a muscle disease I got for chemicals when I was in the army. I had a heart attack later on and my doctor at the time said I had to take these OXY. That it was safer if I knew what I know know I would have punched him in the mouth. I was on 140 mg er. I am now chemically dependant on them. It's miserable up and down wake up in the morning in full blown withdrawals. I have been self tapering myself off of them. This is a very very miserable. I quit taking Chantix a few days ago and I am having a very hard time. I am very very sad and can't stop crying. I take Prozac and Effexor. I have been on Methadone for about 3 years for long term pain management and the stomach issues are awful. I went from 30 to 10 two years ago and have now been 3 days on 7.5 with no withdrawals yet.
