im suffering from heel spurs what medicines should i take ## Hello, Lalyn! How are you? How do you know you have heel spurs? Has a doctor made this diagnosis? And other than some mild pain medications, the only available treatments if you do have them would be options that only your doctor can provide, such as orthotic shoe inserts or surgery.

I am having pain in the heel part of my left leg. I get feel the pain after I get up from the sitting (or sleeping) posture and start walking the pain starts. The pain subsides after walking some distance, but does not disappear. If I wait in queue or in malls for my turn say for paying the bill) I feel the pain. It is said that the pain is due to growth of a small bone in the heel. I don't want surgery. I am about 68 years old-5'3'' tall and 56 kg.

My heels are very painful. When I sit down and get up again, I almost cannot walk. So bad is it. I had a bleeding ulcer some months ago so what can I use that won't harm the stomach again? ## Hello, Fred! How are you feeling? Sorry about the pain that you're in. You may have heel spurs and, if that is the case, they will most likely need to be removed by a doctor. It happens when small pieces of bone from the heel of your foot break off. Many will eventually work their way out on their own, but it is very long and agonizing process. Have you consulted a doctor? Simple x-rays will reveal if that is the problem and then your doctor can help you find a solution. ## Hi Verwon Thank you for the reply! These heels are still very painful. I went to see a doctor last week and he gave me...

I'm a 48-year-old married female with 2 kids. I have a severe pain in my left heel and need advice on what medicine to use for relief as well as what might've caused this sort of pain? ## Hi there. Sorry to hear about your situation. How long have you been dealing with this sort of pain in your left heel? In order to know how to treat it and what could've caused it, one would need more background information and/or medical evaluations that could take a closer look at the problem. Generally, pain medication is an obvious thing to turn to for relief, but determining which one to take may be dependent upon your ability to consult a doctor and get a prescription or whether you'd prefer to resort to OTC & natural alternatives such as turmeric, kratom, cannabis, etc... Found some pills A on top. Scored down the middle, and 349 on bottom. Nothing on the other side. Don't know if it's 5mg or 10mg. I'm dealing with osteo and rhmatoid arthritis, br. heel b. ankle, fused 1-5 lumbar, and they want to take my 30mg oxy. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Actavis Elizabeth and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a generic for Percocet. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have acute pain in my heel(lower side) for about a fortnight. Will numulid tablet help? ## Hello, BanaBabu! How are you? It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it may help alleviate the pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. However, it would be best to have your foot checked out, because this will not solve the underlying problem that's causing the pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have severe bone spurs on my heels and I have been on Duexis for a few years, cutting the dosage to two pills daily from the recommended three. I have recently experienced shortness of breath and cardial infarction symptoms, which I will be getting checked. I recently, because of an annoying rebate program through Horizon Pharma, switched over to ibuprofen and famotidine tabs in an 800/20 mg combination. Is it okay for me to reduce the mg of the ibuprofen intake (maintaining the 20mg famotidine) and by how much? ## Hello Matthew, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your situation. My foot doctor gave me Feldene to take for my spur on my heel. But the Pharmacy gave me the genteric brand of Piroxicam (MYLAN). I got a rash on my arms and my right leg, not on my left leg, just my left arm. When I took this pill I felt very hot. I thought I was having hot flashes. That's when I noticed a rash on my arms and right leg. Is it a reaction to this pill? Please help. My pain has subsided on my heel but the top of my foot hurts. I have stopped taking this medication. Thank you. ## Hello, Teresa! How are you feeling, now? Have you discussed what you've experienced with your doctor? Multiple knee surgeries; bone spur on L heel secondary to limping on right leg for years; spondylolysthesis in back. Prescribed 1-2 Percocet(s) per night (5-325) to help sleep and Tramadol (50mgs, up to 4Xday). If my first 2 Trams haven't touched my pain (fell 2 days ago), would taking the remaining 2, plus the Percocets, have any kind of additive analgesic effect? Or would the stronger Perc render the Tram unnoticeable? Should mention I'm a pill horse: since childhood, I've had to take higher doses to get effects, w/ any drugs. I'm 5'11" and 185. ## Hello, Tristan! How are you? No, you shouldn't take more than prescribed, per dose, or you may overdose. Both of these medications are considered opiate analgesics, so taking more at once could place you at risk....

I was just reading everything on the site about oxy's. I used to abuse them and have found myself finally unfortunately I had to get arrested in the process but went to rehab and came out a new found person. I know someone who currently uses them because of the pain he has in his knee ankle and heel from a motorcycle accident he was in and currently has rumetory arthritis (spelled that wrong lol) but you got the hint. He just went to pick up his script for 60 pills and Walgreens had him sitting there for over an hour because they always tell him he needs the pre-authorization which is always sent by the doctor before he even goes to pick them up. So need less to say......he sat there for over an hour and was then told that THEY ARE DISCONTINUING 40 AND 80 MGS OPS AND OCS ALTOGETHER....
