Heavy Bleeding

Hi my dr gave me meds to start my period because I ha surgery to have one of my Fallopian tubes removed and cysts removed and hadn't had a period since. Once I started bleeding I started taking ortho tri cyclen lo and that started 2 an a half weeks of heavy bleeding. So he switched me to lo estrin I've been on it for two weeks and I'm bleeding through 2 pads during the day and one at night I stopped the pill on my own because I got scared of all the bleeding. The problem is the bleeding hasn't stopped its actually getting worse. It's the weekend so I can't go to my dr till tomorrow at the earliest just wondering if anyone thinks I should do a catch up and go ahead and take the two pills I didn't take. My period is on and I took femiane for 4 days then I stopped. Now my period has become worse. The bleeding is very heavy and I'm having a lot of clots. I'm changing pads about every 2 hours. Would do I do? I'm very scared. ## Hello, Bubbles! How are you? Has there been any change? Why did you only take it for 4 days? That likely threw off your natural hormone levels and it may take a few months for things to return to normal. Other effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms, according to the U.S. FDA.

My age 53, heavy bleeding in periods during Jan'13, continues more than 10days. Dr. advice to take Regestrone Tab 5 mg for 15 days, 3 per day, continues for 3 mth from 15th day to 25th day of period. Any side effect on body. Should I take for next 3 mth.

Since last year in july i was spotting for a month then doc gave premolute N and normal periods for 4days then 3months no period then normal i had now from last month again spotting lasted for 24 days now i m heavily bleeding means changing thrice .i m in my menopause ,i m 45 yr old. Took plan b twice about 2 months ago.. I got my period a month after for about a week then after 2 weeks I got heavy bleeding. I've been researching about it and I've seen that it's possibly not my period. It's hormonal bleeding ? Anyways, I went to to see a doctor 2 weeks later because I was still bleeding heavily. He prescribed birth control pills to get everything back on track. I am now on my 2nd week of taking the pills, however I'm still bleeding. Although not heavily, I'm still so worried. And the bc pills have affected my body so much; headaches and I get tired very easily. I also have hyperthyroidism, not sure if that affects anything ? And is still on medication. Please help me. I had bleeding case last year dec and I was told it was fabroid and was treated. The blood stop but one the first of january the menses started and after 2 days on the heavy bleeding start and hv. Use trexamin yet no changing. ## Hello, Florence! How are you? Have you returned to your doctor? It is always possible for fibroids to recur, so you may have developed another one, or even several. Are you still bleeding? How heavy is it? Are you on any other medications? The FDA lists the typical side effects for Trexamin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, pale skin, anxiety and fainting.

hi i was told to take sprintec by the doctor because of my very heavy bleeding i used to have and ive been on it for a month now i skipped one white pill bc i got my period on the second white pill and it was light the first two days but started to get heavier on the 3rd day and i called my doctor and told him and he said to go on to a new pack and i am on my 3rd blue pill now and ive been on my period for 6 days now and it wasnt that heavy the first two days but for the 4 days it was heavy and today is my 6 day on it and its still heavy is this normal? ## Hello, Jennifer! i have had my Jadelle for about 2 yrs now and have had horrible periods since the first time it got put in.. they are so heavy and clotty its almost like my placenta is tearing away. ## Sorry about the problems you're having. I'm 36 years old, since last month my periods have been irregular. Spotting was there for 10 days only, then my Gyno prescribed me medicine so that I can get my regular period and she suggested a pelvic scan. I'm now done with my pelvic scan and I have a simple cyst in my Ovary, and now I'm suffering with heavy bleeding since the last 8 days. Hi, I had been having very heavy menstrual bleeding for the last 2 months (Dec/Jan) so my dr. prescribed me norethindrone 5mg to take the first day of my period and to take it everyday. I also have the paragard copper IUD (which is partly the reason for the heavy bleeding). This summer has been a rough summer for my body. In May I had a superlight period, then June, July and August basically had my period for 3 weeks straight then off my period then 3 weeks again. They are super heavy and filled with a lot clots. In August I went to the doctor, had a ultrasound done, biopsy and everything came back normal, though she did say I had debris up there. She put me on medroxy, where i would start it on the 10th-end it on the 24th. I had my period when I started, it seemed to stop for about 5 days and now its been back for almost a week and its super heavy and clotty. I have had pcod since 2009. I am always having irregular periods also got hypothyroidism. Since the last 3 months I am having little bleeding daily. I consulted with one gynecologist. She had given primolut 10 mg for 5 days, 2 times daily. Nothing happened until the 3rd day. From the 3rd day I started menstruation, with very painful cramps. I could not get up from the pain. At last I took panadol (paracetamol) for 2 days. The pain and cramping is now ok. But the bleeding is increasing with heavy clotted blood (like the size of a lemon). I am really got tired.
