Have you been checking your blood pressure and heart regularly? Not all medications and dosages will continue to work for you forever. In most cases your body eventually gets used to the dose that you've been taking for awhile or becomes too used to a medication for it to be effective anymore. Thu...

i have to decrease my heart rate it beats faster and i fail at work becouse of it ## It sounds like you may need something that will just relax your CNS (central nervous system) and calm your body. It is probably best to look into natural remedies first before moving onto anything prescription related as you don't want to have any more side effects other than what you're currently dealing with. Ceedarwood Essential Oil is a natural option that acts as a sedative and tonic for your nervous system and in general helps your body function in an entirely less stressful 'state of mind', for lack of a better term. Ceedarwood Essential Oil could also be very beneficial if you have high-blood pressure. So this can kill two birds with one stone. It has a wide range of other benefi...

I have been experiencing pain under my left breast and my metabolism is struggling to relief normal; this has resulted to abdominal pain. . Doctor prescripted Altosec 20. . Will this help and what side effects should I expect? ? ## Hello, Xolie! How are you? This contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that's used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain. Acid reflux can cause the type of symptoms you were experiencing and yes, this would be an appropriate treatment choice for that. Is there anything else I can help with?

My farther is 89 and already diagnosed with heart failure. Congestive Heart Failure. From my poor knowledge this might be Diastolic heart failure as he has fluid accumulation in the feet, ankles and legs. This was initially controlled by lasix,, Aldactone and angizaar/Lorsatum then the fluid was lost but legs remain with stiff muscles. Then later prednisolone was introduced and now he is too weak to walk. Is this combination of drug correct? How can we help him to relieve the problem of stiff muscles?

Heart Savior™ is great at lowering LDL bad cholesterol and triglycerides, but it does not stop there. Heart Savior contains Co-Q10 which is necessary for a youthful heart muscle, and other ingredients to reduce inflammation of the arteries, the build up of plaque deposits in the arteries and lower C Reactive protein levels. ## Does the red yeast rice in Heart Savior contain Lovastatin, or is citrinin used in the fermentation process?

The human heart is an organ that provides a continuous blood circulation through the cardiac cycle and is one of the most vital organs in the human body.[1] The heart is divided into four main chambers: the two upper chambers are called the left and right atria (singular atrium) and two lower chambers are called the right and left ventricles.[2] There is a thick wall of muscle separating the right side and the left side of the heart called the septum. Normally with each beat the right ventric...

After taking this for just 2 days, my ankles and then feet started to swell. I became short of breathe and soon had a hard time climbing stairswalking and talking at he same time. By day 5 my feet ankles and calves had balooned and my chest started to constrict, I became sweaty and had chest pains, my abdomen swelled, i felt exhausted. I called the nurses line because my feel and legs were so swollen and tingly i could not bear it. She told me that iI was experiencing heart failure. I was rushed to the hospital where they did serveral tests. My heart rate was very low (42 per min) and I had fluid in my lungs. After 20 hours in emergency and 14 tests, they concluded that it was the Noroxin. I went off the drug, my swelling went down, my energy level is returning. Please be very careful w...

Early this year I agreed to place a stent in one of the arteries the consultant said was blocked. After having done it, my condition got worse than earlier - in that I started getting tired sooner as I walked and talked, I also began to get chocked as I tried to kneel down to straighten the shoes! Then, other symptoms like mouth full of blood early in the morning, at one time blood through male-tool-tip! And so on. Saw the doctor again with the above symptoms, he said everything was fine. I had to reduce the JUSPRIN to150 instead of 300? (Why had he not told me in the beginning?) My question is that should I continue to take the four medicines he has prescribed "to continue" for life long, or should I discontinue sooner or later, which again he might have forgotten to tell me!? ...

I have Aorta Stinosis, in 14 days i am having open heart surgery to repair the aortic valve. My Doctor advised me to stop all anti coagulants (blood thinners), I take one 40mg ATORVASTATIEN (astorvastatien) once day. Do I continue with this medication prior to my operation. Thanking you. ## Hello, Leon! How are you? This medication so not a blood thinner, it is used to help lower cholesterol, but it would be best to double check with your cardiologist to be careful. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with?

Have 46 BPM at rest; now cut 25mg Metoprolo tablet in half to lower dose as prescribed by cardio doc. had ascending aortic aneurysm repair, and aortic valve replaced (bovine) in 2003. What is going on here? I do exercise quite regularly, but 46 kinds of has me concerned, even though I am still able to exercise. Any answers, thanks. ## Well, there is really no way for anyone to say what's going on from just the limited information in your post. There are several issues that could cause this and only your doctor is going to be able to help you get to the root of the problem. The Metoprolol might be working too well and making your heart beat to slowly. I've had that happen with several medications myself. How long have you been on the lowered dosage? Has there been any improvement?

I had radio frequency ablation twice due to having A fib. The first one was performed Dec. 2015. It made my palpitations less frequent and lighter. The only sign of A fib after the first procedure was I could just be sitting in a chair and I would get short of breath as if I could not get enough air. Sometimes no palpitations at all. I had second procedure Feb. 2016. I went off the Multaq April 15th. Wore a heart monitor from June 13 to July 13, 2016. Just got the results July 26th. I am A-fib free. I am overjoyed with the news. I have had Paroxymal A fib for six years. I planned all vacations by searching for hospitals in case I had to go to ER for conversion. It has been a journey. So if you have A Fib you might consider having an ablation. I stayed overnight in hospital rested at hom...

WHAT IS THE BEST DIET AND MEDICINE WHICH CAN CLEANSE THE ARTERY BLOCKAGE ## If it is due to fatty deposits, then you need a diet that is low in fats, especially saturated fats and cholesterol. You will also want it to be higher in fiber, eating things like oatmeal and whole grains. The best medications are usually the statin drugs, though they can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Are there any other comments or questions?

I am a heart patient. My cholesterol is under controlled by taking one tab of above in the evening after food/fruits. I am also under treatment for diabetis (two tabs of 30mg Diamicron MR in the morning}. I still suffer from pins and needles in my lower legs especially when I walk or do light exercise/swim. I am also on Casprin 100mg and high blood pressure pill (Atenolol 100mg daily). Is the combined "mix" OK? ## I'm sorry, what medication did you mean by one tab of the above? You posted this under the Atenolol forums. Without knowing what medication you are talking about for cholesterol, I can't check any information on that one, for you. Casprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin, for patients with heart and blood pressure problems, it is used as a blood thinner. ...

I have been on Dailresp for just over 2 weeks, and my breathing is much better. In the last few days I have noticed feeling like I have the flu, sore joints, no appetite and a rapid heartbeat. I love this medication. Is it possible the side effects mentioned will go away in time? If so, about how long does it usually take? ## Hello, Deb! How are you? Has there been any change? Those can be normal side effects of this medication, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience headache, diarrhea and nausea. Side effects are usually transient and go away with time, as your body gets used to the medication. However, it really depends on how high your heart rate is going, you may want to have that checked out, to be sure. ## Hi. I had to come off the medicine. My heart rate was so high I need...
