I have been taking Harvoni for 3 months now and am having nerve pain in my legs and lower back pain. Is anyone else taking Harvoni having any of these same side effects as me? Please help if you are able. I had Harvoni treatment last spring. I am not the same. My nervous system is a wreck. My anxiety problems have increased, depression and lack of motivation. My eyes changed drastically. My thoughts are not focused, I am nervous all the time, can focus or sleep. I had a 2 month migraine. Ringing in the ears is intense. I also was on pigalated interferon and ribivirn, I was pulled off mid treatment because I got so sick. After that treatment, I also had long term side effects. There isn't any back support for post harvoni people, nor are their anyone specializing in the after effect of long term HCV infection, it is NOT just a liver disease, it effects the nervous system and all else. As I read the side effects I find myself getting more and more annoyed at big pharma. If you google Gilead and litigation you will see that this drug was pushed though trials and sort of held back side effects. In addition that's not really safe because the people that participated in the trials were very ill. My hepatitis was fortunately stable, as i posted on another thread 2 wks into this and i am going to the doc tomorrow and saying OFF! Hi my wife has just started harvoni - about 9 days or so now - and she is getting swelling in left leg and also feels like there is pressure in her head. Anyone else have anything similar? I stopped the first interferon based meds for hep c1 because of severe rotational dizziness on the slightest movement; this made me vomit and I went to the hospital. I am severely traumatized by this experience and now my doctor tried to insist I try harvoni. I was hopeful at first because I generally read good reports. But, now, looking further into it, I see dizziness is again quite common. I'm 64 yrs old, geno 3 hvc, I have emphasemia, fibroscan 7.1 (not too bad), viral load high. I'm considering tx, but worried about side effects as I don't feel too bad except for my age and shortness of breath. I've been told the older you are and level of viral load, plus how long you have been positive increases side effects. Is it worth doing when you are older and don't feel bad as of yet? ## It all depends, I think, on how well your liver is functioning. What stage are you with the HCV? Do you have cirrhosis? If so, how bad is the cirrhosis. I did the Harvoni at your age. I think maybe you should consider treatment. Liver disease is a horrible, drawn out ending.

I was diagnosed with Hep C 25 yrs ago, took Interferon injections for a yr, my Hep C came back as soon as I stopped treatment. Then was given Interferon and Ribavirin but couldn't tolerate it. In 2016 I made it 5 weeks into Harvoni and couldn't live with the side effects. Since 2016 my liver fibrosis has increased now at a 2-3 was a 1-2 for yrs but its now jumped up since the Harvoni. My Dr wants me to start a new treatment but with my sensitivity to medications I'm scared. I've been looking into Mavyret? The paperwork the nurse gave me said 8 weeks? Looks doable ? Harvoni made me feel like I had the Flu.some body aches, headaches, and insomnia. ..took vitamin c 1000mg. Sleeptabs only with Doxylamine succinate 25mg and Melatonin 5mg for the sleeplessness.rest..exercised. I feel great.?? ## How are your results? Has there been any improvement in your condition? Many people have been having good results with this medication and are showing no viral load after short periods of time. Hello, I am Hans (71 years). I live in Germany. I've been taking Harvoni for 6 weeks. I am happy that I have no problems and no side effects. I started with a viral load of 1.1 million. The fist blood test after 14 days had a reduction to 94 (!). In 2 days I shall see my doc again. I'm curious about the new result (I hope ZERO). I am going crazy. I have never felt right on this. I was 24 weeks on Harvoni, and had been bedridden since then due to my liver, back issues, pain, headaches, chest discomfort, unable to swallow, see clearly, and have nausea constantly. ## Those can be typical side effects of this medication according to the FDA. I am tiered my legs are numb, and hurts to touch. My back lower right under arm pit r side all down to my back and hip to right leg. My ast and alt are the same as 5 Years ago. Those are typical symptoms reported by those that have taken this medication and stopped it, when finishing their course of treatment. Im halfway through a 12 week course and am exhausted for no reason.... I have only been sick twice from the drug but other than that a dull headache with sort of fogginess and extreme tiredness is really the only side effects for me... slightly upset in the stomach but I was before I started.... I was just reading that others felt tired too, well I hope it goes away soon... I'm done now and finished 12 week tx 4/14/15 and I can say back pain, neck pain and pain in the legs is now a part of it for me. I was dealing with the head aches and sick feeling. I have just begun Harvoni, this will be my sixth day. After the third day I noticed a change in how I am tasting foods. They are more sweet and foods that have a fat content are more heavy and cloying. Has anyone else experienced things like this? ## After my husband finished the 8 weeks course of Harvoni, on May 20, 2015, he came down with a very bad cold. A lot of coughing.
