My oxycodone-acetaminophen 10-325 is made by AMNEAL PHARMAC. This a different manufacturer than I had previously. I can't take them, even though severe pain (deteriorating spine, several autoimmune diseases, etc, and I break them into small pieces...they "wire me up", feel like I'm chewing the paint off the wall, and if I take more than 1/4 of one pill, even early in the day, I can't sleep, sometimes for 36 hrs or longer. I take Ambien 10 mg for sleep, I may dose for an hour, two if lucky. Is this normal for this drug? Is this a good manufacturer? Would I be better off if Dr can get a prior authorization for Name Brand. Thank you. ## Hello, Margaret! How are you? Yes, narcotics can do that to some people that take them, as listed in the side effect information provid...

Can you please post back with that information or the imprint from the tablets, so I can look it up? APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, but Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain medication and it can cause nausea and vomiting as side effects, so it is hard to say why you might have gotten sick. You can read more about the medication here: ## the generic is not gluten free. brandname vicoden is GF
My daughter has a staph infection and was prescribed sulfa trimeth. My daughter is very allergic to dairy. Can she take this med? Does it have dairy in it? ## Hi Jr, Sulfameth + Tmp does not contain any dairy products. At most, these types of medications can sometimes have corn starch, gluten, or other binders/fillers that provoke an allergic reaction. If you happen to know the imprint on this particular pill I may be able to look up the exact inactive ingredients, that way you can be rest assured of everything your daughter's actually consuming. I hope this helps!

Dears, I have celiac disease and I need to know if Deanxit pills contain gluten? Thank you. ## Hello Isaac, Unfortunately Deanxit is not an approved drug in the United States as it has been found to be too risky of a medicine. Because of this the drug you are asking about is not something I am able to easily research and find information on, however, I am able to provide a little bit of useful information that may help you find the answer. Deanxit contains the two active ingredients Flupenthixol and Melitracen, both of which are salts and will not trigger anything gluten related. Where you may find issues is with the inactive ingredients of your particular prescription brand. To find out if your drug contains any gluten products, simply look at the inactive ingredients listed on the pac...

Does Savelle have Gluten in it? ## Does Savella have gluten in it? ## Hi Paula, In order to determine whether or not a medication has gluten, one would need to contact the manufacturer for a list of the inactive ingredients. I can tell you based on personal experience that most medications do not contain any gluten; but caution is always advised for those with an intolerance. Do you perhaps have a pill imprint or name of the manufacturer that you could provide? I may be able to find this information out for you if I have those details.
Is there gluten in the Orthovisc injectable? ## Hi Diane, From what I was able to gather, the product labeling does not list their inactive ingredients (which may or may not include gluten). Further administration precautions note the following: "Orthovisc Precautions: Before using hyaluronate, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to bird proteins, feathers, or egg products; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients (such as latex found in the rubber syringe cap of some brands), which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details." Since the product labeling is very vague, I think it would be best to just follow those guidelines and contact your local pharmacy for more info...
Is Ranbaxy Rx atenolol gluten free ## is the medication atenolol gluten free ## It is not listed on any of the gluten free websites as being safe and gluten free, so while I am not sure about what all ingredients would be considered to be derived from gluten, or have gluten in them, I would have to suggest that it might be safest for you to stick with one from a manufacturer that is known to be gluten free. There is an Atenolol on the market made by Novapharm that is listed as being completely gluten free, so you should check to see if your pharmacy can get that one in for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is atenolol gluten free? My pharmacy cannot get Novapharm Atenolol!

Is Estradiol made by Barr gluten free? ## Hello, Pam! How are you? What are the markings on it? I'm sorry, but without this information, I can't check the inactive ingredients for you. Sometimes what's listed by the pharmacy is just a licensed distributor, not the actual manufacturer. Can you please post back with this additional information? Thanks! The FDA classifies this as a hormonal supplement and lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS like symptoms. ## I have the same medication question. Gluten makes me very ill. Thank you so much for your help! ## Accord Healthcare, Inc. is based in the U.S. in Durham, NC. As to the inactive ingredients, I am not sure what would be a problem if you have a gluten allergy, so I am just going to list them for you: Anhydrous lactose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn start and FD&C Yellow No. 6 Lake. Is there anything else I can help with?

Please help me, I am gluten intolerant and do not know what binder is used in this Rx medication. ## Hi Joe, Since each company puts different fillers or inactive ingredients into their tablets, the answer to this question is largely dependent on who the manufacturer of the pill is. Would you happen to know this information based on your prescription bottle? One source I found suggests that it is Par Pharmaceutical Inc.; however it is likely that there are more than just one manufacturer and distributer of the medication. I would encourage you to post back with a pill imprint and/or the name of the manufacturer so I can look up their contact information and get back to you with more details.
