Generic Subutex Pill With No Marking

Do they make 4mg subutex or the generic form with no markings? Its white with no markings. ## Hi debby, According to the FDA, there are no legitimate prescription drugs (made here in the US) that do NOT contain markings/imprints of any kind. So if it's "supposed to be" a subutex, I personally wouldn't trust whomever told you it was, provided that they live in the US. And even if they got it from another country, there's no honest way to verify the contents of a tablet like this one without getting it analyzed by a lab first. So I'd say it's best to not take this pill until further notice, at least to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!

I got a pill that is round, white with a score on one side and Lilly (in cursive) j33 on the other side. I was told this is a subutex. I am withdrawing from opiates and would love to feel better but am hesitant to take it since i am unable to identify it as subutex... Please help asap! ## Unfortunately, I can't find any listings for a pill with this marking. Can you please double check and post back? If I get prescribed the sublingual film could I ask the pharmacy to dispense the generic tablets ## No Nate. They won't switch out. Subutex is a completely different script. ## @nate, It probably wouldn't hurt to ask, but if I'm not mistaken, your doctor may have to be the one to make that request prior to writing your 'next' prescription. Usually the pharmacy will only give you what they have on the shelf at that time unless your doctor makes a point of notifying them on the script that you want a specific form of the medication. Very trustworthy friend said 8mg subutex white round cherry flavored anyone heard of this? ## No, I just double checked and even the sublingual tablets, both the name brand Subutex and the generic all have markings on them, as required by law in the U.S. This law was put into place by the FDA many years ago for several different reasons. One is that if there is a problem with a certain medication, such as its found to be tainted with something, or to not contain any of the active ingredient, there needed to be some way to trace it back to the manufacturer that made it. And the other issue is that if someone is found unconscious with an unlabeled bottle of pills beside them, emergency personnel need a way to discover what the pills are, so they can provide proper treatment. round white pill 54 411 on one side and the other blank ## its an 8mg generic subutex, same as suboxone ## This is a Generic Subutex OPIOD pill used to treat opiod dependence as in heroin addicts, etc. Sort of like Methadone. These pills are very very new as generics and hard to find, they were released by roxane pharmacuticals on october 9th of 2009. Does generic subutex have the numbers 501? ## Hi Leslie - Hmmm, I don't believe so. The only info I could find about a white tablet with the imprint 501 is Mirtazapine 45 mg, which is used to treat depression. (NDC 53808-0737). Does that sound about right to you? If not then I would double check where the medication was obtained. Are there any other markings or packaging for the tablet? Also, is it kind of oval shaped at all, or is it definitely a round circle?
