Generic Lorazepam
100+ Topics FoundHi. Since generic Lorazepams are basically the same, there still can be bad side effects switching to another, if one is discontinued. Some generics have different binders and fillers and maybe not enough, or too much of one component in which makes you sick. Does anybody know which type of generic Lorazepam is the closest to the Andoz GG92?...Thank You...PK ## Unfortunately, there is no way to say which one might be closest, since we are all different, and it is a very individualized experience. Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and nervous disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, dry mouth, and mood changes. Since all the pharmaceutical companies buy & sell companies regularly and the pharmacies switch to the cheapest generics they can find monthly, has anyone found in the year 2015, a generic Ativan/Lorazepam that is of good quality? I only take it as needed and do not take daily. Just before Christmas I filled a script for generic Ativan and did not feel that it worked anymore than drinking a glass of water. The imprint is Watson, 241/1, white, round. My health insurance will pay for generic only. I am allowed to pay a higher copay in order to get the Brand medication if I wanted but Brand gets costly. However, since I do not take it daily, I'd be willing to pay the extra cost to know when I need it, it will work well. If anyone in 2015 has found a generic Lorazepam that works wel...
Have been using Lorazepam by Ranbaxy for years, but is no longer available from the Giant Food Store Pharmacy near Manassas, Virginia. Have tried several other brands with little success, they are not the same and do not work as well. Do you know the Ranbaxy Brand is available on line or in chain pharmacies. Does this 2 mg lorazepam manufactured by Watson and the same pill manufactured by Qualitest have the same inactive ingredients? ## I was put on the qualitest(so)? brand and after I've been on Watson for years - the Qualitest is a placebo to me. it does NOT work for me. my pharmacist at Rite- aid said they're all the same and I said no they're not and he said that they can't order Watson when they want anymore due to some bogus reason. I think he's lying. I am willing to call the new company of who makes watson and ask them if that's true or not and if I can get a list of chain pharmacies carry Watson - as their main brand and switch pharmacies. why bother fighting with somebody who obviously hasn't been on anxiety medication but yes there is a difference in a...
I just wanted to know if alprazolam is generic for xanax,is lorazepam generic for xanax too, since it seems they are both perscribed for the sam e thing ## Although both medications are of the Benzodiazepine drug class, Alprazolam is the one and only generic for Xanax. Lorazepam may also be used for the same purpose, but that does not necessarily mean they are the same drug. Additionally, many patient reviews I've come across, agree that xanax is about twice as strong, but lorazepam has been known to make you more tired and your body more sedated. You can learn more about these drugs on the page for Alprazolam Details & Lorazepam Details I hope this info helps! ## I agree. Xanax, or as it is known generically as alprazolam is a member of the sedetive drug group as Lorazepam (whic...
I have been taking a round white Lorazepam pill from Watson, now my refill is from Ranbaxy. Do they work as well? ## I have been taking Lorazepam .5 mg to helpme sleep at night from Watson Pharm. 60 pills for $21.XX. Now the refill is from Ranbaxy Phar. and is lik $5.XX, I am afraid to take it, never heard of them. I told the Pharmacy not to change the Phar. company. Has anyone had this problem or any side effects? ## Ranbaxy is the worst for lorazepam im sure you already accepted them and found out for your self. Next time stick to Watson only brand that i feel work's at 0.5mg but they do work well for such a small pill ## Since this is a generic medication, your pharmacy will usually switch which one they carry, depending on which manufacturer was offering the cheapest price at th...
I've never encountered generic lorazepam by ANI. I've had Watson (my favorite now defunct), Actavis, Leading (my least favorite), and what I've been taking for the past 5 years- Teva (which I just read is considered weak...hmmm). I must put in my new prescription tomorrow.....has anyone had experience with ANI? My choices are ANI and Leading. (Sigh)
Filed under LorazepamBeen on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis. Having lots of troubles getting results; either nothing or zonked. Anyone else w/any experience which mfr. is closer to Sandoz (since FDA approves up to 2% differences in generics). Thank you. ## Hello! I have been getting 90 days supplies of Lorazepam 1MG from SANDOZ....my new Rx just came and it's from ACTAVIS.....it does not work or relieve any anxiety at all....I might as well take a placebo...it does not work at all....I took 2 pills...nothing and then 1hour later took 2 more....before with the other brand...I would probably be asleep....but,nothing with this new brand.....I do not know what to do about this....... ## I have...
Has anybody taken this medicine which is a generic for Ativan manufactured in India? ## The drug brand named Lori (2 mg) is said to be manufactured by Cyril Pharmaceuticals. Just to clear up any confusion, it's not a generic for Ativan; just another brand name. Ativan is also a brand name. Lorazepam is the generic name. I personally haven't tried this brand, but others here on the site have mentioned that it is very weak in comparison to the US counterpart. There's nothing inherently wrong with purchasing meds from India, but from the reviews I've read, many people are complaining about the potency and overall efficacy not being up to par with US drugs. Would you agree with that? You can learn more about this drug on the page for Lorazepam Details I hope this helps! ## I...
I was taking Watson for sometime. It did the trick with my anxiety. When I went for a refill they gave me Excell. It does not do it for me, only zonks me. The pharmaceutical companies buying and selling other pharmaceuticals the druggist can't keep up with them. I telephoned some local pharmacies also mom and pop pharmacies. You guessed, Excell. ## Unfortunately, the generic any pharmacy has in stock can change regularly, depending on what company is offering the cheapest price through their distributor when it is time to restock their supply. Next month, everyone might have the medication available from another completely different company. The FDA warns that Lorazepam carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritabi...
This month when I picked up my scrip for Lorazepam I was given a small white round pill with 59 and a half moon shape on one side and scored on the other side. I use lorazepam for insomnia and I feel like this pill has no medication in it. I have been on it for enough time to know what this medication does, I know what it feels like and these do nothing! Has anyone else had this problem with this brand? ## Hello, Caylah! How are you? How long have been taking this one? There can be some slight fluctuations from one generic to another, but your body will adjust after a week or so. Alternatively, if it's causing a serious problem, then you can talk to your doctor about just prescribing the name brand, so the pharmacy can no longer give you a generic.
I’ve been taking the generic brand Mylan Lorazapam for four years. Only one that helps me live a normal life stop anxiety/ptsd/ ect. Lorazepam is also the only medication that works for me. My Doctor and I have tried everything. But horrible side effects! Mylan lorazepam has been a miracle! Sadly I just found out that mylan is discontinuing I have a partial script of .5 mylan because 1mg is already gone and the rest is Actavis! I tried one of the Actavis today and it completely zonked me out and feel so weird! Only other one they said they have is Leading. But I saw people post horrible stuff about that as well. A girl I know goes to a different pharmacy and has the exellium brand. I’ve never heard of it... has anyone taken it on the regular and do you find it’s better...
I was wondering what is the different between Watson and sandoz mfg. I take 0.5 lorazepam and I got a refill my medicine looks different. ## Hello, Dee! How are you? That is the only difference, the manufacturers. Once a medication is available as a generic, it is usually made by several different companies and whichever one your pharmacy carries at any given time, will depend on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?
Is there anyone out there who is had a good or a bad experience with mine when I was told that my own was a very good generic for the lorazepam 1 mg as opposed to Watson and the worst being Sandos ## Hello, Andy! How are you? I took the one manufactured by Mylan a few years ago and it worked well for me. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?
Does sun pharma carry 1mg lorazepam made by ranbaxy or another maker I have been taking the ranbaxy brand for 20 yrs and doing well by it now I can't get it anymore and the ones I can get are making me sick ( headaches nausea etc) any answers would be appreciated. When will ranbaxy brand be available again ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you? It isn't that one isn't available, but that your pharmacy was able to get the other generic cheaper, when they needed to restock their supply. However, you can ask them about ordering the other one in for you. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Did you find a pharmacy to sell 1 mg tabs of Ranbaxy...
Circled white pill with the letters Gg 93 no marking on the back ## I cannot post a picture due to copyright reasons, however, I can tell you that this tablet contains 2mgs of Lorazepam, a generic for Ativan. I have been having anxiety attacks for over a year. Mydoctor has prescribed both Buspar and Lorazepam. The Lorazepam seems to work better than the buspar. I am concerned that this drug may be addictive. Can you help? ## Yes, this is a Benzodiazepine, they are very addictive. That is why a lot of docs will no longer prescribe them except in extreme circumstances and many insurances will not longer cover them, either. Lorazepam is the generic for Ativan. Here is a page with some more information, and I will also copy in the relevant sections here for you, in case you do not have time to look it all over. Lorazepam-Drugs.com Lorazepam is habit forming. You can become physically and psychologically dependent on the medication. Do not take more than the prescribed amount of medication or ta...
what are then patients responses? ## Hello, Doris! How are you? Any generic on the U.S. market must meet the same FDA testing and approval process as any other, that means that all are effective. Have you had a problem with the generic from this manufacturer?
What is the difference between lorazepam 2mg tab qua and lorazepam 2mg tab act? ## Hello, Annette! How are you? Those are abbreviations for the manufacturers, Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and Actavis, respectively. Since this is a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies to help create market competition and try to keep prices down. The FDA warns that this medication may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?
My local pharmacy recently changed from Qualitest lorazepam to Actavis (Watson). So I have to transfer. Most pharmacies here sell Leading Pharma or Actavis. I have an adverse reaction from Watson lorazepam (serious side effects with no calming effect). I used to take Ativan but it is too expensive to continue (I took it when I was abroad and from Kaiser in the U.S. but Kaiser changed it to generic Qualitest lorazepam). I do not use Kaiser insurance anymore. Qualitest is milder than Ativan in terms of effect, like 50%-60% of Ativan, but less dehydrated and OK considering it is generic. Ativan is $2600 for 1mg 30ea in cash. Besides, most insurance does not cover it or do not want to pay for it by forcing doctors to prescribe generic lorazepam instead. If you guys take Qualitest, could you...
