which generic Maunfacturer do you think has the most active ingredient of the oxycodone as this is the generic for percocet. i currently get 10/650 and know endo is the best, however im gonna to be dropping to 10/325 to lessen the tylenol and have heard that there are definatley some that have less active ingredient than others. ## Yes, there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic medication to another, but there's really no way for anyone else to say that one is better than any other. That's what my pharmacist told me today. Is that true? I tried googling around to see what drug's wholesale prices are for pharmacies but had no luck. Another question is, why is Endocet a brand when in actuality it's a generic for Percocet? I don't get it. Cardiac medication ## I am not finding anything under this, are you sure you have to correct name and spelling? ## Are you sure you don't mean Enkaid or Encainide hydrochloride (generic.) This is a medication used rarely for antiarrhythmics. Doctors dont use it often because it has been pulled off the market and then limited in use due to serious side effects.

I also took the Watson. Last prescription I received amneal which were awful. Aleve worked better! I threw them away! I did take the Mylan before and they was not too bad. Don't know if any generic now can get close to the Watson.Now I found two different pharmacies that carry mylan and endocet. Seems from reading, Endo does not make the generic endocet only the brand percocet, its qualitest which is now part of Endo since 2010 per Endo website. Confusing to me. The Alvagen pill , is the worst pill I've ever taken.. and to the 1984 deal.. that's history , the 20% additive.. They are allowed 30% additive now.. Trump just signed an executive order.. making companys to have to hold back on how many pills they are allowed to give to the pharmacy.. just like Obama did. Which means my Endocets will be given to the hospital's first.. it's back to generics for me.. I take them , it's like taking nothing at all. Withdrawals for me now.

I have been taking endocet 10/325 for yrs . Several my pharmacy has been out and given me oxycodone 10/325. I find I have to take 2 oxycodone a to 1 endocet . Why is that ? I was on Mallinkrodt(sp?) 10/625 5x a day and went to refill at wrong store and have Endocet yellow oval 10/325 one side, E 712 other side, and feel like I'm aching FOR SOMETHING!!!!! Called dr & no help. Idk what to do. No $. ## The pill marked E 712 10/325 does contain 10 mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Endocet. However, the active ingredients can differ from name brand to generics by as much as plus or minus 20%, so this may be what is causing your problem. I got endocet for my last prescription vs oxycodone and tylenol and it doesnt seem to be giving me the same results - is it true it could have different fillers in it therefore not making it the same ## Yes ## It is not only the fillers that can be different, there can also be differences in the active ingredients between a name brand and a generic. The FDA does allow them to differ by as much as plus or minus 20%, they consider this to be an acceptable therapeutic difference. So, for instance if you are used to taking a certain generic that may have more of the active ingredient in it and you suddenly switch to the name brand that the FDA is more strict about, so it just has the exact amount, you could have problems from getting a lower dose and may find it is not as effective for you....

I HAVE BEEN ON OXYCODONE FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND MY DRUG STORE RAN OUT AND GAVE ME ENDOCET? SAID IT WAS THE SAME THING BUT MY BODY TELLS ME THAT IT'S NOT THE SAME. The prescription was for percoset 10/325 dosage. I got a generic prescription back - it says endocet 10/325. The pills are round, white with a line on one side and the number 512 on the other side. I got a prescription a while back for 5/325 and I think they looked the same and I'm concerned the pharmacy gave me the wrong dosage. Can you tell me if I got the right dosage? ## You are correct, the tablets with the 512 marking contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen and only 5mgs of the Oxycodone, so if you were supposed to receive 10/325 then they gave you the wrong dosage. Have you contacted the pharmacy about it?

I have been on endocet 10/325 mg for over 10 years, was a gymnast and now I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted, my dr want me to go out on permanent disability, I refuse, anyway my rx states brand necessary even tho endocet is a generic, I never had a problem getting them now Noone will fill my rx, they say they don't carry it, I work in medical field I know it's a more expensive drug, but if a pharmacy has it, and my insurance covers it with a copay this month the pharmicist tried to charge me $400, when my usual pharmacy never had a problem filling it, I had to go to different pharmacy because it was on backorder, and every other pharmacy wouldn't fill it with a generic cause it states brand, so the other pharmacy tried to make me pay $400 is that legal, very frustrated

I’ve gone thru several variants of Percocet 10/325 over the past 20 years, (7 C-spine surgeries and 3 lumbar spine surgeries, and still suffer horrible pain on a daily basis). Endocet is one of the only meds that works for me, doesn’t make me sick to my stomach, nor any side effects. (I haven’t had to have any increases in strength or amount of daily intake, so I’m pleased with the Endocet)... But my cost has gone up to $159 for a one month supply (150 tabs), which is tough for me to handle financially.
