Which is the better generic company? I just got GLOBAL and they are like taking sleeping pills. I'm sleeping 20 to 24 hours a day for days. If I didn't need to pee, I might never wake up. I have been taking adderall 30mg for two years now and it really helps me. but my last script I got filled was a blue capsule and is a generic brand..Dextroamp. this is awful. Are these suppose to have the beads inside them or is it powder form? Theyre orange 30mg capsuls with R-3061 on them. Took one and immediately fell asleep? ## There doesn't appear to be any photos of this pill online, however, I did come across posts from others stating that this particular capsule imprinted with "R 3061" does in fact have beads. I do find it odd how it put you sleep, considering that one of the side effects of this drug is insomnia. Generic Adderall XR manufactured by Actavis is not the same formulation as was used by Shire/Teva. The efficacy of the drug does not exist in Actavis' version. I plan on filing a complaint with the manufacturer. I encourage others who are not receiving the expected results with Actavis' product to do the same. Be sure call your pharmacy and get the lot number of your capsules. Luckily, I am a chemist who has access to analytical equipment that will help me identify and quantitate this medication. A friend of mine went to Walgreens this month and got Mallinckrodt generic 30mg XR's. The imprint is M 8956. They look like that garbage CVS generic with a clear bottom. I have to fill my script tomorrow and I plan on asking what they have before I fill it. I was just told by a costco pharm. that d-amphetamine salt com xr has been discontinued ## It hasn't been discontinued, but there is a current supply shortage, reported to the FDA by all manufacturers. As supplies improve, they are shipping it to various pharmacies on an allocated basis. In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is checking with various pharmacies to see which one has it in stock, or talking to your doctor about using an alternative medication in the meantime. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Dextrose-amphetamine salt is not the only ingredient, so even if it was cancelled, which is is not, it wouldn't discontinue Adderall.

I too have had horrible experiences with the generic versions of adderall..I am currently on Brand Adderall XR 30 MG..I've wracked my brain trying to understand how such drastically different results can be received if the medications "should" have the same active ingredient but "may have" different "inactive" ingredients. So, the only way that my ADHD brain lol could understand this is to compare it to one of my favorite recipes:Chicken cordon bleu... So I imagined the chicken as the "active ingredient" and begin to switch out the remaining ingredients in my head..as I imagined the switching out the breading used, then type of cheese used, maybe instead of "baking" you would fry it (for example)....when i was done analyzing... I am currently without insurance and I had to pay $275 (cheapest I could find) for my GENERIC Adderall XR 20mg/60 count. I have read that Teva was the only one to produce the generic version for 180 days from the launch date, which was 4/2/09. My math indicates their 180 days will be up in two days (9/30/09) but I can't find out if any other companies are going to be producing the generic which should drive the price down significantly. I live with a questionable character who I have caught red handed taking my meds from me. I am prescribed amphetamine salts 30 mg xr, generic for adderall. They are orange and clear capsules filled with orange beads. The time I caught him I found that he had taken the pill apart and ingested the beads, then put the pill back together so I wouldn't know...really sneaky.
