Fluttering In Chest

Good day. I have been taking Indapamide for 8 weeks now after my previous bp meds and water pill (Amiloretic) caused me severe heart fluttering and chest pains and a general feeling of "something being wrong with my heart". All of these "heart problems" subsided but now im left with unbearable pain in both my hips. I can hardly walk. This Indapamide is the only medication that has been changed. Could my hips be so painful because of it? It is really UNBEARABLE and no pain pills or muscle relaxants seem to help. I have taken Alkaline powder too, but with no effect. If anyone has any similar findings, please share with me. And just for the sake of interest. So many people are taking Prexium/Prexum/Pearindopril. My husband used to cough sooo bad that he was diagnosed with b...

What are my risks in stopping the flecainide cold-turkey? This dr tells me it's not used for bigemini, which can disappear on it's own. I'm concerned about the feeling of my heart dropping in my chest, and butterflies fluttering in chest at other times, plus panic attacks returning. All of the above stopped once I was put on flecainide. ## Hello, Norma! How are you? You are right to be concerned, suddenly stopping it could cause rebound effects, such as an elevated and irregular heart beat. Usually, you need to slowly taper these medications. I would suggest double checking the information on stopping it, just to be cautious. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi, I am going in for a PVC Ablation in 2 and half weeks and the dr office told me to stop my meds - flecain...

I had blood work done and never had a problem with glucose. No one in family does but after being on bystolic can it make your glucose rise? Also feeling fluttered in my chest. I've been on bystolic for about 5 months and this just started... ## Hello, Barnaby! How are you? Yes, beta blockers have been known to do that in some people that take them, according to reports from the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. It may also cause palpitations, which most likely explains the fluttering. Overall, it would be best to consult your doctor as it might be best for you to try a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

i suffer from high blood pressure and the last couple of months my pulse became eradic, missing a beat and adding a extra beat. i als get chest pains wich increase in severity and then go away. i also have a stomach ulcer, could the pain come from the ulcer? my pulse rate is normal when i get these pains. ## Hi Robert! I can't give you an exact answer about how your heart beat would be before a heart attack. Some people feel it coming on, and others feel fine until all of a sudden they're having a heart attack. As far as your heart beating fast or hard and feeling like it's "fluttering" or skipping a beat -- I used to have the same problem and it about drove me crazy. Then my doctor put me on a beta-blocker. It was "atenolol" although there are many others. I...
