Are there any weigh loss specialists in your area? If so, that would probably be the first places to try as they are better informed and more knowledgeable about such issues and medications.

Usually if you call them and ask over the phone, they are reticent to say whether they will, or will not prescribe anything, because they are afraid they might be dealing with a drug seeker. I know that's not what you're doing, I am just letting you know about the reaction you might get, if you ask for a specific medication, and aren't a current patient. The only thing you can really do is see a doctor, discuss your problem with them and ask them about trying it. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they may prescribe it, or refer you to someone that can help. Qysimia is an extended release medication that's used to aid in weight loss. She live in the Texas panhandle and I live in east Texas, Tyler area. I have taken phentermine and did will. There is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Really, any doctor can prescribe it. Have you talked to your PCP? They may prescribe it, or refer you to someone that will.

Anyone on both medications and any side effects or concerns? ## Yes, there is a warning about combining them, according to the FDA, taking both has been known to cause Serotonin Syndrome, a potentially fatal condition. If you have been instructed to take them both, your doctor should be monitoring you frequently, and you should know to watch for any possible symptoms of it, such as confusion, twitching muscles, heavy sweating, diarrhea, muscle rigidity, high fever, and seizures. If you experience any of them, you must seek immediate medical attention. Are they both being prescribed by the same doctor?

Looking for a doctor in Akron Ohio to prescribe qysmia. my family physician said he didn't believe in it ## Qsymia (phentermine + topiramate) is used together with diet and exercise to treat obesity. Any regular MD in your area should be able to prescribe this for you. So it may just be a matter of changing doctors if your current physician doesn't agree with its use. Did you happen to ask him why he didn't believe in it? Perhaps a more straight answer from him would help you make a more informed decision when it comes to considering this medication. All I'm saying is that he must have a good reason to not want to prescribe it for his patients.
