My girlfriend died from aspirating on vomit from xanax and i'm trying to find out how much she might have taken for such a fatal dose? ## Hello, Burlington! How are you doing? I am so very sorry for your loss. But such a death would not be directly attributed to the amount of Xanax she took, but rather just to the fact that she likely took too much, passed out and then got sick, so she choked. Thus, there is no answer that I can really give you on how much would have been required, because it can vary from person to person. She could have taken 3 or 4, or as many as 20 to 30. Did the coroner do an autopsy? If so, were there any toxicology reports?

Sadly I know somebody who passed away not too long ago when he took Oxycontin along with alcoholic beverages. He was in his early 20's, and it is obvious that he had a substance abuse problem. Isn't it true that it is well known that the interaction between Oxys and alcohol is potentially fatal? Could it have been a suicide, or perhaps irresponsible use of prescription drugs? This is a very sad situation, especially for his family. It is also sad how these kinds of medication are being used illegally. Situations like this should be avoidable, however, if they are being abused just like illegal drugs then why aren't the authorities cracking down on pharmaceutical distributors the way they raid coke dealers, etc? too bad. ## They have been cracking down to try and prevent it, ...

How much dosage of restly can b fatal to death? ## @redfire, From what I could gather, most people who take Restyl (Alprazolam) don't usually require more than a few milligrams per day (except in severe cases). However, anything over the amount prescribed by your doctor would be considered an overdose. Whether or not it would be fatal is another story; and this exact number is probably going to be different for every individual depending on whatever tolerance their body has developed over time from taking this drug. There's also another thread on here discussing the same topic, if you'd like to skim through some of the responses: Discuss/Restyl-0-5-mg-Overdose-242829_s2.htm I hope this helps! ## how much of it could lead to death??

i was wondering what the fatal dose of flexeril was.... ## Flexeril contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine and the maximum daily dosage is 60mgs, split into 3 equal doses. However, what is fatal and causes an overdosage can vary from person to person, depending on their overall health and tolerance to the medication. But, if you stay at the prescribed dosage, you should be fine. Are there any questions or comments? ## be careful. i took 130mg of flexeril and blacked out for 12 hours. during this time i apparently drove to meet a friend for lunch - luckily my friend, initially thinking i was drunk, drove me home and stayed overnight with me. ## My friend took 4 flexaral will she be ok 10mg ## Hi Daisy, I was reading Your post was 1- 30mg tablet of flexeril and and was out for 12 ...

Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic. Can you die from taking just one hydrocodone 10-650 tablet? ## Hello, Jayallen! How are you? It's very doubtful, but there are a couple of possible scenarios where that could happen…. The first would be if someone were severely allergic to it, in that case just a tiny amount of the allergen could cause anaphylactic shock that may result in death. And the second would be if it were mixed with some other medication(s) that it causes dangerous interactions with. But both scenarios are extremely rare and unlikely. Is there anything else I can help with?

i want to know how many restyl 1 mg tablets will effect the persons life and how much time it would be fatal? Am worried for my brother ## There is no precise answer that can be given, because it will vary from person to person, depending on the dosage of the pills, the person's health and their tolerance to the medication. Why do so many people here in Florida die after taking Oxycodone with Xanax - what makes the combination a fatal dose? ## Xanax is a Benzodiazepine and Oxycodone is a narcotic opiate, this means that both of them can cause central nervous system depression. When someone uses high doses of both of them, at the same time, the CNS depression results in problems, such as lowered heart rate, lowered blood pressure and a very slow rate of breathing. In many instances, they pass out from the combination, being unconscious or asleep also depresses the central nervous system, your body functions normally slow down when resting. The combination can result in everything just slowing down too much and it causes their heart to just stop. They basically stop breathing and go into cardiac arrest. This...

My mother, recently deceased, was guessed to have an atypical onset of ALS which manifested only by slowly decreasing her ability to swallow and breathe. I am investigating all prescription meds she was taking to learn if there may have been an interaction or reaction that triggered her fatal illness. Is this a fatal combination? If i started drinking heavily and the injested this amount, would it be deadly? ## Hi Savanagh, yes, this combination of drugs and alcohol can be deadly. Are you depressed and having problems? Nothing and no one is worth taking your life. Please, talk with your doctor about what's going on in your life and how you feel. A medical professional can help you with your problems. ## Ingesting that much clonazepam and Ambien is just suicide. Drinking alcohol with a benzodiazepine will result in death. You will most likely go into respiratory arrest then cardiac arrest. ## It would be fatal even without alcohol. ## First I am concerned that you would ask about such incredibly high doses of medication. Ambien should not be taken in more than 10 mg. No GOOD MD wou...

FATAL? ## Hello, I have been using Seraquil for almost 4 years. In the last 2 years I have gained 35lbs. I changed nothing, still did an hour of cardio everyday like I have been for the last 30 years. I did reduce my calories by about 1/3, BUT still gained the weight. I stopped taking the drug for 2 months and did not like the way I felt mentally. I did not suffer much in the way of withdrawals but everything bothered me. I take 100mg at bedtime. So I went back on Seraquil. During the 2 months I lost about 5 lbs. When I went back on I was determined to lose weight even tho I was taking the drug. I really cut my calories. And low and behold I started to lose weight. Down about 12 lbs now and I will get back to the 180 lbs weight I have had for 35 years. My whole point in writing this is ...

Is 750 mg fatal to à low tolérance, 140 lb, 5"6 female in a 6 hr timeframe? ## According to the EMCDDA (European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction), the estimated minimum lethal dose in non-tolerant adults can start at 200 milligrams. However, further research suggests that larger doses may be better tolerated after chronic use of the drug, whereas doses of 400 to 500 mg are not "generally" fatal. Ref: toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/search/a?dbs+hsdb:@term+@DOCNO+3287 750mg on the other hand is a significantly higher dose than what was even being considered lethal. Can improper dosing of hydrocodone be fatal to a 12 year old girl who has never taken any type of drug ever? What would happen if she took too many tablets all at once? Please, somebody help! ## Hello, Anabel! How are you? Of course it can. Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so taking too much, at any age, risks overdose. It's just that the risk is lower for someone that is opiate tolerant. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you're worried that a child took too many, you should seek emergency medical attention for them. Is there anything else I can help with?

If a person were to take 18 hydrocodone 5-325 what would happen to them/ Is that a fatal dose or would they be left alive with liver damage? ## All that Tylenol or aspirin, if it was a combo drug, might mess up your kidneys and liver but as long as you are not a first timer, that is to say opiate naive, 90 mgs of Hydrocodone probably won't kill you. My dosage as a cancer patient is the equivalent of 135 mgs Hydrocodone, at 90 mgs of Oxycodone every 4 hrs. Believe me I'd rather be cancer free than all drugged up. I'm in so much pain I can't even get a buzz, damnit . . . Q ## The 325 listed in the 5-325 designates that each tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and taking 18 of them would equal 5,850mgs in a day and that could be a fatal amount. Acetaminophen can be fata...
