I have been taking these pills for exactly 21 days, I have not had a period in about a year, and have not taken birth control pills for over 21 years. It was prescribed for menopause symptoms. This morning I woke up with cramps and bleeding. Is this normal? ## Yes, these are synthetic hormones, the estradiol is a form of estrogen and the norethindrone is a progestin, which is a synthetic progesterone, so the rebalancing of your body's hormones can cause those types of side effects. You actually may not have been completely menopausal, even though you hadn't menstruated in a year or so, you may have just been low in hormones and on the verge of full menopause. If you were experiencing menopausal symptoms, then it is most likely that you were still producing some estrogens, but no...

I have been prescribed Urolet and imipramine along with estradiol & progesterone (for estrogen deficiency) to relieve urinary tract irritation (frequency, dysuria) resulting from estrogen deficiency and it's affect on bladder/urinary symptoms as I described. It was prescribed by my gynecologist. The first order of business is to get relief, which I have, but I don't know what the long term plan is. It is written with 12 refills. It seems that the estradiol & progesterone alone did not relieve bladder/urinary symptoms sufficiently, and the Urolet & Imipramine were not sufficient alone. Q: does anyone have side effects from Urolet, or have been prescribed it for long term use?

Hi I am 19 and I had my last period in April and my next cycle was supposed to be May 15th and I did not get my period. I had sex on June 8th. What can I take to start my period? ## Hi shafaq, Usually a specific kind of birth control/ oral contraceptive (containing progesterone, Ethinyl estradiol, or some other hormone) is used to regulate periods. You would have to seek a doctor in order to obtain this medication. When you engaged in intercourse, were you protected? If not, there is a chance that you may be pregnant. If you were protected, then I wouldn't worry much. It isn't harmful to miss the menstrual cycle, as long as it doesn't happen often. If you do speak with a doctor, you may consider asking about the medication Regestrone, which is a product of India. The reporte...
