I'm only taking 1 capsule per day for the past 2 weeks. This morning I start getting milk (baby is 2 months old, but he is on the bottle since birth). Hi. I would like to know is Espiride can help me breastfeed after a full year. My baby is 13 months old and I decided to give him breastmilk again and started taking espiride 50mg 2 capsules 2 times daily. Will this help to active breastmilk and more or less how long before I will have milk again? My specialist subscribed espiride to me. One capsule before going to bed. Iam very worried from reading all the reviews. Iam not sure what it is for or what it does. Nor do I know the side effects. I have been using Espiride for 5 days now to help me with my breastmilk. I breastfed my for six weeks, but two months ago I stopped, to my regret. Now I want to try again. I have little milk, how long will it take before I have enough milk again? I use the breastpump 3/4 times a day and I'm going to try and let my baby latch and breastfeed again, hope it works!

. ## Is it safe to use eglynol during pregnancy? ## The active ingredient in it is Espiride, this is an antidepressant, commonly used by breast feeding women who are suffering from post-partum depression. It is also known to help stimulate milk production, so some doctor's prescribe it for that as well. As to the safety of it, I cannot find that information, however, as I said it is commonly used and you should follow your doctor's instructions and speak with them about any concerns. Eglanol ## I was prescribe Eglanol by the paeditrition for better breast milk supply. my baby is 2.5 weeks old, gained 400g in ten days after birth but then stayed the same in the next week. the dr thought that my milk supply is not enough as baby sometimes (2 08t of 8 feeds per day) wants a snack half way between feeds. I am sceptical on using this medicine as it is an anti-depressant and I wonder what the effect is on the baby and on me.
