I started 6weeks ago, for anxiety and depression. Just 5 mg knocked me flat, but after a week i was on 10 mg and able to get out of bed. After another week things had improved all round, and by three weeks i was feeling good, actually happy. I had agreed to stay on this drug for a year or so, but got really pissed off that it prevented me from ever having orgasms, so decided to quit without asking my dr....too embarrassing to explain. MY doc and I have recently decided to try to come off of the generic version of Lexapro, Escitalopram. I was taking 10mg of the stuff for about 10 months.
