I am a 22year old girl..I've gt MRI n EEG done in 2007..I faced a fit in 2007,my neurologist suggested me encorate plain 200 dt tym n last year I again gt a fit n dn another doctor on d basis of my previous reports guided me to have encorate chrono 200 n nw I've gained a lot of weight all of a sudden n have not even gt my dates since 2.5months..is it normal..plllzzz help n suggest wht cn I do..?? I've never faced ny prob.regarding my dates during ds course.. ## Hi, I am PRASHANTH. I too have been on encorate 500 from 2007, and gained weight from 75 to now 100kg. Consulted doctor again, he added lamoctal but I had Steven Johnson syndrome and hence stopped it. Now I am still on encorate 500 twice daily and don't know what to do. Anything to share? Please....

i have head injury m taking encorate crono 500mg for more than 1 year. what actually is its function and does it have any side effects except acidity? ## Encorate Crono contains the active ingredient Divalproex Sodium, it is most commonly used to help prevent seizures caused by Epilepsy or brain injury. The likelihood of your experiencing many more side effects, after having been on it for a year, is pretty low, unless you had to go to a higher dosage. Howeever, side effects can include; nausea, dizziness, decrease in coordination and loss of appetite. i have been prescribed encorate crono 500 for 5 years. Yet it's my second year and half of my hair is gone. Does this drug lead to hair loss problems?? ## Hello, Faisal! How are you? My 7years old daughter is using Encorate chrono 300 for last one year. Doctor has told ,she will have to take the medicine till 3 to 4 years. Is there any side effect in this medicine with this dosage. She started with the dosage of 200mg, then it became 250mg and now it has become 300mg. Will it effect her studies or memory. Now she is going good in her studies but will it effect later. My father has done a Multicentric gioblastoma surgery in last 22/11/2013 and since that he is using encorate chrono 200mg 3 times. He has a good appetite but now he is showing signs of heavy breathing, tired, pains in legs, sometimes headaches. is it a side effect of this medicine?

She started to have a feeling of vomiting and not being able to eat well.Recent LFT revealed that the Alk phos level is high at 428 against normal range of 100.A ct scan gave result that kidney and other parts are normal. Whether Encorate Crono 200mg morning & 400mg in evening can cause increase of TSH from 3.6 to 27 in three months period
