I'm having constritures of my tendons in ankles is this normal. Felt like tendon was as tight as rubberband and going to break for like ten mins. My daughter is 5 years old and has urinary reflux stage 3. She has been taking sulfameth-trimeth since she was 2 years old. She always has breakthrough infections. My question is what are the long term side effects of her taking the medication for so long and is it necessary? Started taking this med yesterday due to possible uti, woke up this morning with watery diarrhea is this normal ## Hi Marianne, From what I've researched, watery diarrhea is listed as a side effect that should be reported to your doctor immediately. I realize today is Christmas and many doctors are on vacation during the holidays, so hopefully your symptoms aren't very severe? However I'd still encourage you to call your doctor anyways, since that's what the drug monograph recommends when it comes to certain symptoms. I took this for a week which ended about a month ago. I'm 46 and a runner. Since taking these meds, my left heel and calf have hurt (tender on the inside of heel under ankle and tight calf). Now my right ankle has begun hurting and I've never had issues with these before. I can barely walk in the mornings. What are my options here? How does this drug affect a person who is current taking Humira for RA? How long should a person be off Humira 40mg before taking Sulfameth/TMP DS Tab. Dosage 2 tablets twice daily. ## Have you discussed this with your doctor? There is really no specific time frame, the information just says to discontinue Humira for the time period you are taking antibiotics. It isn't that it causes a dangerous interaction, but that the Humira can make it harder for your body and the antibiotic to work and fight the infection. Some doctors will have their patients stop Humira, while taking antibiotics to fight infection, but some will just prescribe a higher dosage of the antibiotics.

can alcahol be used while takingSMZITMP DS 800-160 ## Hi Tom, It's actually NOT recommended that you have any alcohol while you are taking Trimethoprim. Reason being is that the interaction can increase your risk of certain side effects such as rapid heartbeats, increased body temperature under the skin, nausea, and vomiting. If you want avoid those risks, it may just be best to play it safe and wait it out through the duration your treatment. I hope this helps!
