Doxycycline Tattoo
2 Topics FoundI was given a rx for doxycycline 100mg for an infected tattoo..... i was given a 10 day supply and am taking 200mg a day..... it has made me very sick to my stomach and bad heartburn..... today will be 7 days of the medicine..... would it be ok to stop taking it now..... i am an emt and am aware that you are supposed to take entire rx but i have researched sites claiming that some doxy rx are for 7 days and i am miserably sick. ## Have you tried taking it with food, instead of on any empty stomach? That does help many people with the nausea and heartburn issues, when they are taking this medication. Have you contacted your doctor about this, yet? You should never ignore such symptoms when you are taking a medication. You may need a different dosage or to try some other antibiotic.
