I recently was on 7.5 325 T and doc just switched me to 5-325-TB. What is the difference between the two? As in what amount of aspirin/Tylenol, does the amount in prescription strength, above mean? Like 7.5 to the 5, & the amount that didn't change 325? I have severe lower back pain, after standing or walking for several hours, as well as after strenuous work around the house, bending stooping, etc., & an MRI showed spinal stenosis. As well as the knee pain, I've had for years! So switching down in meds, as the doc prescribed, may not work. That's why I was wanting to know what the difference in the two meds are? Having hip surgery in 4 days. I was given a prescription for Hydrocodon-Acetami Nophen 5-325 by my Internist for pain when needed. I have only taken a few in the last week but today, I am hurting a bit more. I know I am to stop taking anything with aspirin in it 7 days before surgery except for tylenol which doesn't work for me. Is there aspirin in this medication? Is it safe to take before my surgery? If I can't take any aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs 5 days before a procedure, can I still take hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325? ## You should be able to take it, unless you have been told not to do so, since it does not contain Aspirin, or any other anti-inflammatory. I would like to know just how much of that codeine is contained in a percocet 512 round pill. in mg's please. concerned parent here. ## It contains 5 mg Hydrocodone and 325 mg Acetaminophin ## OHH MAN. I am sorry, I slipped up. Its 5mg OXYcodone. not hydro. and still the 325 mg of Acetaminophen. ## Percocet does not have codeine in it. It has oxycodone and acetaminophen. Percodan has oxycodone and aspirin. ## The above posters are correct, there is not Codeine in it, though it is still a narcotic pain reliever.

i heard that norco had less tylonal and asprin than in vicodan ## Norco - 5/325 - has: hydrocodone 5 mg. and acetaminophen 325 mg. Norco - has 10 mg hydrocodone, and 325 mg acetaminophen. Vicodin - 5 mg hydrocodone and 500 mg acetaminophen. Vicodin ES - 7.5 mg. hydrocodone and 750 mg acetaminophen. ## Neither Norco, nor Vicodin have Aspirin in them. They have acetaminophen (APAP). ## Correct; neither have aspirin. Vicodin is probably the worst hydrocodone-containing compound available. The absolute lowest amount of liver-destroying paracetamol (acetaminophen in the USA) in any 'Vicodin' product is 500mg. What is generally referred to as 'Norco' (Watson) is 10mg/325mg. If a person were to take 18 hydrocodone 5-325 what would happen to them/ Is that a fatal dose or would they be left alive with liver damage? ## All that Tylenol or aspirin, if it was a combo drug, might mess up your kidneys and liver but as long as you are not a first timer, that is to say opiate naive, 90 mgs of Hydrocodone probably won't kill you. My dosage as a cancer patient is the equivalent of 135 mgs Hydrocodone, at 90 mgs of Oxycodone every 4 hrs. Believe me I'd rather be cancer free than all drugged up. I recently, had my med changed from vicodin 7.5mg 5xqd to lortab 10-500mg tablet. 5xqd question is, "Is the lortab a higher dose of medication than the vicodin. ## Lortab and Vicodin both contain Hydrocodone, a synthetic opiate or opioid, as their narcotic analgesic. As such, your dosage strength increase is only in the amount of pills you are now taking, not in the opioid ingredient. Oxycodone, used in Percocets and OxyContin, is slightly stronger . . . a 5/325 Perc is equivalent to a 7.5 Lortab.
