It does not appear that you posted the name of what your talking about in a specific forum or within your topic or description. If you could post back with this bit of info, I'd be more than happy to do some research on the indications and side effects of that particular drug. If you do have a tooth or gum infection, I would also suggest looking into getting some clove essential oil from your local health food store or online, and gargling or brushing your teeth with it for more immediate relief. I used Bactrim; it takes more time to work than clindamycin. It has taken four days for the swelling to go down, but it has gone down and is almost normal now. I have double strength pills and will take them 2x a day for ten days. I also used the clove oil on my gums and that is working very well. They are going from red to pink again. If the infection is still there after the 5 days of antibiotics, you'll want to speak with your doctor. In addition, I have heard that vanilla extract works well for tooth infections as well as clove essential oil. I have personally used both of those oils for an area on my gum that became swollen and it healed the area in a couple days.
