2 Topics FoundI was prescribed this antibiotic & Docycycline Hyclate 100mg cap 3days ago for my eczema which got infected (because I was scratching). On the 2nd day I have been taking both meds (BID every 12 hrs for both), I noticed that I developed rash & what looks like hives on my neck. Today, my upper chest has some kind of prickly heat rash like a baby's bum. Hi I'm on 118 mg of methadone and I was just prescribed 100 mg of doxycycline. Since I've started taking this combination I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms. About 30 minutes after I take my antibiotic I start getting leg cramps, sneezed and about a hour after i take it I'm on the toilet with the diarrhea. I don't know if its an effect of taking both or just the antibiotic ## Hello Dee, According to the NIH drug interaction checker there should be no issue with taking these two medications together. It's possible that the doxycycline is causing these problems.
