Are 2 mg of diaudid marked m 2 stronger than pink pill marked k 56 known as oxycodone? ## Hello, Dreamy! How are you? No, for each 2mgs of Dilaudid, you'd only need to take 5.33mgs of Oxycodone, so the 10mg Oxycodone tablet is stronger. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I got a script from the drugstore for 2mg dilaudid and when I open the bottle there were white ones in there but I saw some cotton in the bottle pulled it out and the rest of the pills were orange whats up with this? Are they ok to take? ## Hi, Wendy! It can be normal for this to happen if your pharmacy ran out of their supply of one and had to add some from a different manufacturer. However, I can't confirm this for you, without knowing the markings that are on the tablets. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Can you post back with this information? If so, I'll gladly check for you. Thanks! ## I have a pill that was supposed to be dilaudid, but it looks like it got wet or something. Can the m 2 pill be cut in half and taken? Is it a time release? Is this pill the smallest dosage usually prescribed? ## No, this is not a time released tablet, so it could be cut, if you wish, unless your doctor or pharmacist has specifically told you not to do so. And yes, this is the lowest dosage available in the tablets, it contains 2mgs of the Hydromorphone, which is the active ingredient in Dilaudid, this is actually a generic medication. It is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. round white pill w/ m imprint and # 2 on other side...is this pain med.? ## Can you get a script with a refill? ## There is a 2mg Hydromorphone tablet that matches this description, it is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. And no, MIchele! What does a 20 mg dilaudid look like and is it like doing 5 4mg because I have never heard of these ## Hello, Cbaby! How are you? There is no 20mg Dilaudid available in the U.S. There is a 24mg and a 32mg in the time released formulation, but the regular release tablets are only available in 2, 4 and 8mg. I need these as soon as possible because I ran out a couple days ago and I;m starting to get sick. ## I had a lumbar back fusion in 2008 and no one realized I had a small stroke, so after PT I was falling all the time and I also broke my tail bone on one of the falls. I am better in the morning but by 1:00 PM I am in terrible pain. After that I have to wear a brack in order to do anything. I have now been told I need the cervical and throtic spine done. My left arm and hand goes numb and my legs are also being affected. My docytor has told me the whole back has to be fixed and it scares me to death.I need another opinion so I can decide what I need to do. little round white pill with k2 on8D16 ## A white round pill with the K2 marking is NOT Dilaudid, nor any type of narcotic. It contains 8mgs of Ondansetron, an SSRI commonly used for it's ability to prevent nausea. ## It never ceases to amaze me that some people have no clue as what medication that they are taking!! This is a perfect example!!

Hi. I was cleaning my 16 year-old son's room and found a bottle of little, round yellow pills. About 30 of them. My heart sank. I think they are dilaudid or hydromorphone, at least what I've been able to glean from the research I've done. But I am not sure; I cannot find any reference to the inscripted P on one side (4 is on the other) vs. the K or M commonly found with dilaudid. Can anyone help me identify it? ## I am sorry to hear about your findings ... and sadly, yes, the pills which you have described are Dilaudid 4 mg. The manufacturer's product sheet states "DILAUDID 4 mg TABLETS are yellow, debossed with a P on one side and the number 4 on the opposite side." (PDF format, page 18). I wish you and your son the best with this. Do you have any other question...

Dilaudid Hydromorphone

Hydromorphone, also known as dihydromorphinone, and sold under the brand name Dilaudid among others, is an opioid used to treat moderate to severe pain.[4] Typically, long-term use is only recommended for pain due to cancer.[6] It may be used by mouth or by injection into a vein, muscle, or under the skin.[4] Effects generally begin within half an hour and last for up to five hours.[4] Common side effects include dizziness, sleep...

small round white pill, m on one side, 4 on the other side ## That would be Hydromorphone 5mgs. Hydromorphone ## Incidentially, regarding my recent inquiry about amount of dilaudid I am using, I have been on ppiates for over 20 years, stemming from a horrific auto accident in 1985; Talwin, ocycontin 80mg; Fentaynal; and Kadian; now dilaudid. All heavy doses so I believe I am very well tolerant to opiates ( basically an addict, I'm sorry to say!) ## I am a normal teenage mother and recently have been suspicious of my daughter using drugs. Let's face it, i've had my fair share of exploring when I was young, but rarely. I noticed her acting weird sometimes, but afraid to come out and ask. I was prescribed Dilaudid 2mg for the repair of an incisional hernia. Pain maiintenance has been a problem in as much as I cannont in the least tollerate even 2mgs of dilaudid. In the hospital was one matter. At home I was scared, felt on and off as if I were dying and very week to the point that I could barely make it to the kitchen to eat even oatmeal It would take me 10 to clean up a small kitchen spill because I was so weak. I switched to 600 mg IB and was chastised by the Advice Nurse for even considering IB and to switch immediately to Tylenol. My Question is this: Has anyone every been successful with pain maintenance with Tylenol Extra Strength or with 1/2 a 2 mg Dilaudid pill. Though sill soo afraid of Dilaudid. Need help fast have lots of pain and do not want to take too much at once... ## Do these pills have a score line in the middle on either side? If so, then yes they are meant to be cut in half specifically for these purposes. If they do not have a score line then I personally would still cut them in half if a whole pill was too much to handle. That is just me, if your looking for someone else's opinion on doing so. i need a pharmacy that will fill my Rx for dilaudid #8 ## why is diluadid on backorder and when will it be available in columbus, ohio? ## I'm sorry, the only thing I can guess as to why it is on backorder has to do with some recent changes made by the FDA. Some companies have been marketing unnapproved versions of these medications and they have made them remove them from the market until they undergo product quality and safety tests. This has affected many drugs on the market in the past few months. There have been several posts about this one our site, as well as many others, even nurses in hospitals have mentioned getting notifications from their pharmacies regarding a shortage. That said, I am sorry, I have no information for you on when it will be available again in ANY area. ...

Are my dilaudid pills instant release ## Hello, Maxwell! How are you? No, there are no instant release Dilaudid tablets. These are 2mg regular release tablets, so they start working about 15 to 20 minutes after you take them. This medication is a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## There are Dilaudid extended release out there they come in 20 mg and they work very well for pain. ## Sooo yes actually they ARE considered "instant" release. You stated they are not IR, but they start working around 20 minutes after you take them? ? Just like an aspirin, percoset, ect,ect,ect.....

R they yellow with a line on one side and nothing on the other side ## Hi, Matt! How are you? No, all Dilaudid tablets available on the U.S. market would have an imprint on them, this is required by law to enable their identification in case of emergency. If you have a tablet with no imprint on it, then it is most likely something that's available over the counter. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I got them throw the mail is it possible if they came from another County
