I would like to know which drug is similar to tramadol but can be taken with lexapro? ## Unfortunately, from what I am finding, all of the centrally acting analgesics in that class can cause problems with Serotonin Syndrome, if they are taken with the Lexapro. The same warnings come up for the other options, such as Tapentadol: Has your doctor recommended anything? ## As usual Verwon has been to the reference library. It is true that really only the relatively new to market tapentadol HCl, branded Palexia, Tapal, and in USA Nucynta, is similar in that it is both a mild opioid and SNRI. Has anyone had experience using this drug to slow or treat chronic diarrhea? I have short bowel syndrome and had 2 resections leaving me with the diarrhea. We are now trying different treatments. ## It does cause constipation, in some cases very severely, as a side effect, so it has been used for this and has worked for some people. The only way to see if it will work for you, however, is to actually try it. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Verwon is quite correct in asserting that morphine sulphate will cause a degree of constipation or, more in keeping with your problem, relief from diarrhoea.
