Denver Oxy

I have been dealing with chronic pain for 20 plus years now and since the drs here in Colorado love to judge everyone that deals with lifelong pain, I cannot find a good old school Dr that truly understands what we go through, I have had back surgery, have myofascial pain syndrome, etc. My Kaiser Dr still refuses to up my dose, which she only has me on 2 oxycodone 5mgs per day!! Craziness, that amount only lasts 4-5 days, if I'm brutally honest with her she will also think I'm a drug seeker. Fortunately I find ways of getting what I need but I would rather just get what I need through my Dr. Anyone know anyone in Denver co that would be helpful? ## I went to Pain Partners for many years they were very understanding you just need to take there UA's I hope that helps

old pcp cut off all meds w referalls to pain dr.so moved denver temporarily.need see pain specialist & psychiatrist for meds.referral in old sate useless, wont fill current pain meds or xanex. 11 yrs on oxycontin, er and quick release.2 wks withdrawals now. not well . high anxiety attacks without pain meds. cant seem get in anywhere here in denver ## Stuck, have you searched on google. What medications are you on other then Oxycontin. Many have had to travel but now that the FDA has the 120 mg. morphine equivalent physicians are not eager to take anyone or write. If you take Brilinta twice a day like 90 or 60 mg tablets, keep out of the higher elevations like 6500' and up. Had an episode where I was at 10,000' in a hotel in Colorado and it about killed me. No sleep was possible when every 30-45 secs you would start gasping for air. I had to go to the local medical center and was put on oxygen and was able to sleep. When they checked me out I headed straight toward Denver and the heavier air. The lack of oxygen put me into near panic modes, my brain was signaling distress and confusion was rampant. The previous year I was at the same hotel without any issue and was not on Brilinta. When the hospital checked me in my BP was in the 150s and heart rate was in the upper 80s. I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function.
