Good day. I was put onto Cymgen (30mg) on the 19th of Sep 13' due to possible anxiety / panic attacks. (I'm a 34 years old, female). A few months ago I started breaking out in uncontrollable horrible smelling underarm sweats (the more I sweated, the more it would smell and the more self conscious I would feel and then I would sweat even more), I started having heart cramps and chest pains, limbs went numb, I had breathlessness (feeling of someone sitting on your chest) and irregular heart beats. The symptoms got worse very quickly. I got worried (possible stroke / heart attack) as I have no info on my parents medical history and I have an 8 year old daughter. I then went to see a GP. He did bloods and ECG's and all came out clean. No signs of pre-mature menopause or thyroid ...

I have been on cymgen 60 for about 6 months then reduced myself to 30 for past 4 months. I have always weighed no more than 54kg and am now sitting on 68kg. This is enough to cause anyone more depression than what they already suffering. Furthermore I also feel constantly tired, have dizzy spells. My husband says every week he has a different wife, one week Im arrogant and cocky, the next Im loving and insecure, the next Im nasty to everyone etc etc, isnt there a medication that can prevent these drastic changes in personality?? I have been on soooo many others over the years, nothing has seemed to help. I dont really suffer from the deep bouts of depression anymore but definitely have my weeks where I feel down and pretty worthless and am hard on myself and struggle to make it to work....

Have been on cymgen for nearly 7 years now. It has worked but now the side effects are getting to be too much. Muscle stiffness, constant headache and I can't go a single day without them, it's the worst feeling ever. I have been a drug addict for 15 years and not even opioid withdrawals are as bad as cymgen withdrawals. I have tried to cut down to 30 mg but couldn't bare the withdrawals. Now I am on 60 mg and its seems to not work as good as it use to. Somedays I really can't get up. I am always so stiff in my neck. I also get heart palpitations, bad blood circulation and I feel withdrawn from everything around me. I don't feel any emotion. This is now enough. I want to stop taking this med. This is not a life I promise you that. ## Hello, Andre! How are you? When d...

Hi I am on this tablet for more than a month. Within the first week I came out in hives and dr put me on 30mg for 4 days then back to 60mg. Hives stayed away. For 2 weeks now I have had NO energy and muscle stiffness in my arms and now it is going to my legs. All I want to do is sleep and have not been to work this whole week because I do not have energy to get up in morning. I take my pill in the morning as prescribed by my dr. My back is starting to stiffen up and my neck feels as if it could snap off at any time. I have never felt so overwhelmed in my whole life and as sick as this. Please tell me this is side effects to this tablet and not the end of my life, as it feels like it today. I can not lift a pot of food of the stove without having severe pain in my elbows and musles. I have been on Cymgen 30mg for almost 3 weeks. Day 2 to 7 were terrible with a racy heart and chills and then sweaty. I felt totally wired. That has all settled but I keep on doing weird stuff with my mouth and tongue and my mouth is super sore from contact with my teeth and tongue. I can't seem to stop it and have to consciously swallow my saliva each time. What to do? When will it settle if at all? ## This contains the active ingredient Duloxetine and those are not common side effects of it. Learn more Cymgen details here. Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant and since it does work on brain chemicals, it can cause withdrawal and rebound effects, if stopped suddenly. Your doctor, however, should be able to help you taper off of it and may be able to suggest something, or prescribe something that will minimize the withdrawal and rebound effects. For instance, some people have good luck with Diphenhydramine, the active ingredient in Benadryl, because it is...

Hello all. I weaned off and stopped Cymgen (60mg to 30mg) for about a year. I started on Cymgen again (new medication did not help at all with anxiety and panic) but it doesn't help nearly as much as it initially did. Am I resistant to it now? Should I try a generic? Or do I have to look for another drug altogether? ## What dose are you currently taking? I have been on Cymgen for 3 months now. First on 60mg in morning and now reduced to 30mg at night. I have started weeing 3-4 times per night although I haven't had anything to drink for hours. I also have a lot of acid. AND Insomnia !! Will it help if I take it in the mornings maybe ? ## Then you will have daytime sleepiness. Get off this drug if you can. It is not the right one for you and the side effects are not good for you. If you are female, no one will have sympathy with you for not sleeping because it will be assumed to be due to menopause. They will blame you if you are fat or if you had bad "bedtime Hygeine".Not one thing I tried worked except cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) 10MG or 1 MG klonopin to sleep. Finally I could fall asleep but wake up four hours later. It too...

My Dr has cut my Cymgen from 60mg to 30mg i am feeling out of sorts is that normal. She said its not good to take antidepressants for so long. But i felt fine taking them is it bad? ## Hello, Delwynne! How are you? The risks may possibly include stomach ulceration, liver damage, liver failure or kidney damage/failure, as reported by the FDA. And yes, with such an abrupt lowering of your dosage, it is normal to feel out of sorts, it can cause withdrawal effects. I have been on Cymbalta, then changed to the generic Cymgen (30mg) for 8 years. I decided after this amount of time to stop and asked my psychiatrist on ways to do this. FISRT of all, my psychiatrist said that because i was on such a low dose that there will be NO side effects of stopping the drug. My response was to inform her that on days i have missed taking my meds i have severe head zaps and couldn't manage just stopping (Cold Turkey) if that was the case. She then put me on a course to taper off: X2 weeks 30mg Cymgen & 20mg LilyFluoxetime (prozac)- After two weeks i stopped the Cymgen and carried on taking the lily for another two weeks as requested by my doctor. I had my last Lily on the 18th of July 2016. It is now the 10th of August 2016. The withdrawals are so severe t...

I need to know the Long Term Effects of taking Cymgen for longer than 6months and will my depression be cured after taking the drug for a while? ## This medication contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, it is an SSNRI antidepressant. The common side effects you can expect may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain. However, these should actually taper off, after a few weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication. As to your depression being cure, that really depends on what is causing it. If it is just due to some temporary things that are happening in your life and they clear up, then the medication may be just enough help to get you through this rough patch. However, if your depression is caused by other issues, such as mental illness, then it will more than likel...

Hi, I am 47 years of age , male and have anxiety disorder. I have been using Remeron 30mg for almost a year and a half with mild effect. Hi there, was changed to Cymgen 60mg. I was told the anti depressant is "weight gain indifferent".
