Cut Vicodin Half

ERROR, on other question i just submitted, what i want to know is oval vicodin hp (vicodin 10/660) on one side, other side has a cut most likely to break in half, can a company called HOSPIRA, deliver to pharmacy, without the name ABBOT, on the information paper? thank you ## The generic form of Vicodin is made by many different companies.

My Doc prescribed me 15 mg of Morphine. Ive been on vicodin 7.5 mg for three years. How much of a difference is morphine? I took half of the blue pill just now. ## The Morphine is stronger than the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin, it is also a straight narcotic, without the Acetaminophen that is in the Vicodin. It sounds like your doctor is trying to help you get better control of your pain. The main issue here is, what type of Morphine pills are they? If they are the time released version, generics for MS Contin, then cutting the pill in half could be very dangerous and should not be done. I’m taking Oxymorphone 5mg five times a day and it’s barely relieving my low back, neck & sciatica pain anymore. My problem is I have Kaiser Permanente insurance. Ever since the Opioid Crisis, the Pain Management Dept. protocol is to get every patient OFF ALL OPIOIDS. However, my Primary Care Doctor is much more sympathetic & is in charge of prescribing my pain medications. She has tried to help & support from other departments to no avail. My dog has 2 cuts on his neck caused by a dog bite. The vet said we cant stitch them because it will seal the infection in the cut. He's been in a lot of pain the last 2 days and hasn't been sleeping well. I have an unidentified pill. Looks like my old generic vicodin pills. It is white and oval shaped. It is scored down the center, like cutting the pill in half if you wanted to split it easily. Can I cut/ break this pill in half, or is it time release? I do not generally take painkillers but my sister gave me one since I am unable to move my neck. ## Cut it in half with a sharp knife. Youll get 2mg of Dilaudid. You would be much better off taking the whole pill. ## Would 4 mg be too strong? I used to take Vicodin and have a high tolerance to it. I have taken a small dose of roxy in the past and it was too potent for me. I started on prednisone for extreme knee and hip pain. Can't sleep. No relief yet. Can I take hydrocodone? I took Tylenol several hours ago with no relief from that either. ## I was put on Celebrex, 200 mg, for severe hip pain and arthritis. Can't mix Advil (only Tylenol) which does nothing for me. Tried cutting a 5/300 Vicodin in half and that sure helped take the edge off. Am going to discuss further with my neuromuscularskeletal doctor. Trying to avoid an epidural shot and surgery.
