3 Topics Foundwhat is the side effect of buscopan in early pregnancy? ## Buscopan contains a form of Butylscopolamine, it is used as an intestinal antispasmodic and, since it is not commonly used in the U.S., I am sorry, but I don't have any information available on whether or not it is safe to use during pregnancy. Please provide information on Buscopan indications and contraindications, dosages, adverse reactions, drug interactions and nursing considerations. ## HNBB BUSCOPAN DRUGSTUDY ## Buscopan contains Hyoscine, it is used to relieve bladder or intestinal spasms. Common side effects may include: nausea, constipation, dry mouth and trouble urinating. I cannot locate a drug study on it. Does anyone else know where to find one? ## drug study of buscopan ## My advice is NEVER to combine Buscopan and an opioid. I was in severe pain, and of course opioids cause stomach upset. So, no warning from the the chemist, I took both. I was out of my tree. It wasn't the Oxycodone, I had that before, but they play havoc with my stomach.
