I am taking clindamycin 300 mg TID for a skin infection. Since starting this medication, I have noticed an increase in saliva production, stomach/digestive issues and a loss of appetite. I'm an alcoholic and i have a tooth abcess..woul i be able to take clyndomicin as i cannot just stop drinking as it would be too dangerous ## Hello, Elaine! How are you? I have received 300mg clindamycin for exudative tonsillitis. I was told to take 4 a day for 10 days. I am on day 2 and have yet to feel any less pain. My throat is very inflamed and my voice is gone. I ended up going to the ER because the whole side of my face was swollen , and I was in excruciating pain. When I sAw the doctor, he prescribed me (Clindamycin) 300 mg for my tooth infection. Everything was going good on the first day. I had no swelling, in my face anymore and the pain was subsiding. When the second day came around my stomach started to hurt and feel weird. Can insomnia/trouble sleeping be caused from taking clindamycin (oral capsules 300 mg QID)? Started 300 Clindamycin Friday after 2 pills my chest n neck were beet red. I tried to take again the next day the same thing happened. My whole neck n throat Red n Burning. Dr gave this medicine to me because I got a tattoo and all red n itchy after 8 days. My breathing was being affected. I stopped after 4 (300mg) think it's a reaction. Hi, I was prescribed clindamycin 300mg for dental abscess and percocet 5-325mg tab, but I can't keep any food down. I was going to drink an extra strength Alka Seltzer to see if it would help with the upset stomach. Is this OK to mix? It is the antacid tabs diluted in 4oz water. Thanks ## Hello, Jen! How are you? Hey, I was prescribed Doxycycline to treat Impetigo. That worked a little, then I was prescribed 300mg of Clindamycin. My question is will this knock out the skin rashes and fluid filled scabs? ## If it has been prescribed for you, the only thing you can do is try it and see. Hi, I got pink eye a week ago and started to use polysporin eye drop for a day, then it got worse and more swollen and more painful. Dr prescribed me tobremycin eye drops, then after 3 days my eye got worse and worse. Tears running non stop and my eye is like a bowl of blood. It is so itchy and painful. I hardly can open my eye. My dentist prescribed me 300 mgs of Teva-Clindamycin (1 every 6 hours) as I have been experiencing some pain in my teeth/left jaw area for the past 3 weeks.
