I started taking clavamel yesterday. I took three yesterday and one today. I am taking them for both a kidney and chest infection. I started getting pains around my ears and glands last night and when i woke up this morning it got worse with a constant headache at the back of my head. I was wondering am i having an allergic reaction and should i stop taking it or what? ## Hi Amy, Based on my research, headaches are a side effect of Clavamel (Amoxicillin / clavulanate) so you could definitely be having a reaction of some sort. I am suffering from urinary tract infection..and taking Clavam 625 . I have already taken 5 tablets..but after stopping the tablets infection started again. Kindly tell me how many tablets exactly have to take for clear up the infection. I am having only burning pees nothing else...and I am not consulting with any doctor for this. Dr. suggested this calvam 375 tablet for my daughter who is age 10. In a blood test we found her (W.B.C) is increased: 27100. And it should be: 11000... Will this tablet help? doing more side effects than treat the actual disease like loose motion. for its high cost no good. poor packing. ## It's a very good drug for lower respiratory tract infections but for some people normal bacterial flora is flushed out, so they experience loose stools. Especially in people who don't use curd in their diet. Take a sporolac or sporolac-DS along with clavum but please don't blame the drug or the drug manufacturer with your unaware ness

Nonhealing wound.. Dr has prescribed Clavam 625 for 5 days 3 capsules per day along with Omez 1 capsule per day. The wound is there for last several months. it is at awkward place at seat of the body near rectum. I have bad chest infection and sinus so my Gp prescribed me augmentin 625mg but my phamist gave me clavamel forte 500mg. Just wondering was it a mistake or is this equivalent to augmentin? I've been using Clavam 625 and have noticed that I started getting a skin rash. Is this a known side effect? Unfortunately, the only remedy is to stop taking the medication and let the rash wear off.
