I have located a drug called Clonex, which is a brand of Clonazepam available in Israel and possibly other countries outside the U.S. There are also a couple of other drugs around the world going by the same name, but their active ingredients would not be indicated for back pain. My diabetic and hypertensive mother (age 88) was recently hospitalized for weakness and frequent falling. She has been on clonidine and a new doctor took her off it. She has been having horrible waves of nausea and diarrhea for about a week and a half now. She has to force herself to eat a couple of bites of each meal, and she weighed all of 92 pounds when she went in. Besides the hell she is going through, I am worried about her wasting away. How long does the clonidine withdrawal process last? ## Are you saying they just abruptly took her off of it? Did they replace it with something else? Are they providing supportive therapy? My 88 year old mother had a minor cerebral posterior stroke July 30 and was started on Clonidine. About one week later she started to feel like she needed to urinate frequently, almost as soon as she had returned to her chair. Two months later, she is still feeling that way. Could it be the Clonidine even though that is not listed as one of the side effects? Has anyone else seen this? Only have half of pill its oblong but flat top n bottom last number's are 012D 1/2 the pill is aprox. 1/2 inch its the color of spicy brown mustered.
