Anyone besides me having issues after having taken Cipro? Was discontinued by my doctor after 3 days. I have burning sensation in my hands and legs. Soon afterward, going up the stairs, I felt the innermost part of my knee begin to hurt. Ignored it until it became harder to do. Returned to the doctor who ordered an xray. No bone involvement. Appt with orthopedist tomorrow. Tried to wear a support bandage but makes it worse. ## Hi Bonita, Sorry to hear about your experience with being on Ciprofloxacin. From what I could find, "pain in the joints" is in fact listed as a rare but potentially serious side effect on the site for the US National Library of Medicine; in which case they recommend contacting your doctor immediately... RXd Cipro 500mg bid x 7 days in mid-July for e coli kidney infection. Cleared infection. However, broke out in major seborrheic dermatitis all over face, head, and groin while taking. Also noticed anxiety ramping up while taking with decreasing appetitie and gastric upset/loose stools. I was already suffering from knee pain and plantar fasciitis, but have since developed more widespread muscle pain and more joint pain elsewhere, especially left elbow and hips, and the knee and heel feel worse than ever. No physical reason for this, and my achilles are more sore than ever as well. I lost 26 pounds since the day I started Cipro course for no other explainable reason, and my weight was stable before taking it for months. My anxiety is now intolerable if I don't take Xanax XR .5 at leas...

Do I take Cipro Before or After eating and is there any food I shouldn't eat when I do take it? ## The tablet and suspension are usually taken twice a day, in the morning and evening, with or without food. The extended-release tablets are usually taken once a day. Cipro XR brand extended-release tablets may also be taken with or without food. Take ciprofloxacin at around the same time(s) every day. The length of your treatment depends on the type of infection you have. Your doctor will tell you how long to take ciprofloxacin. The link below offers more information on how to take this medication as well as many other important details: Hope this helps! I was told that I had failed or had a incomplete on a urine test for a job. I'm not sure what COC test is, the only drugs I take are prescribed. Here is the list: Trilipix, vytorin, lovaza, lisinopril, baby aspirin, enbrel injection, metformin, victoza injection, synthroid, klor-con, lyrica, tramadol, lithium carbonate ER, trazodone, seroquel xr,hydroxyzine Pam, cipro, and phenazopyridine hydrochloride. Help could any of these cause me to fail? ## It would really be helpful if we knew what they meant by that, as in what you failed for, or what they mean by an incomplete. Did they provide you with any other details? There are many medications that can cause false positives, such as the Trazodone you are taking, it has been known to cause false positives for LSD and amphetamines. Did ...
