I have been using Cilift 20mg as well as Alzam for just over 2 years. I have Rheumatoid arthritis. Started taking anti depressants after my husband committed suicide over 2 years ago. I do not sleep well. I still feel down at times, I have terrible pain in my hips, knees and elbows. Seems both tablets do not work for me anymore. I have been prescribed Cilift 20mg by my doctor to treat my anxiety that i get. I get sweaty hand and feet, heart pulpotations, sometimes a pain in my chest. I cannot eat properly, i vomit if i try to. I have also been given Ativan 1mg to use to calm me down. Iv been using cilift for three weeks now for anxiety. My heart has been giving me hell, beating hard in my chest and stomach, I feel sick and tired all the time and i have to force myself to eat. Because im feeling sick and tired most of the time im depressed and end up breaking down because i cant get a normal days work done. should i continue with the perscription or stop with it.

I am 47 yr old lady from cape town diagnosed 2007 with severe depression by DR CHris George. From 2011 I have been taking Alzam 0.5 three times a day plus Zolpiderm 20mg per night and cilift 3 times a day. I am a 26 year old female and have been on cilift since i was about 17 years old, my doctor assures me that it is toatlly safe to carry on for long periods of time, he also says its even safe for pregnant woman. I wake up in the morning with my heart racing and the evenings are even worse. I started with half a tablet for the first 4 days. The Dr. gave me Beta blocker and a tranquilizer now. I am Bipolar and take 900mg Epilum in the morning as well as 900mg in the evening. I suffer from severe major depression which went through the roof after a teriible year of great losses. My GP has now put me on 20mg Cilift. I was diagnosed with postpartum depression associated with major depression. I was negative, nothing was funny anymore, I didn't enjoy my husband and my wonderful baby boy.
