Cephalexin 500mg caps nov didn't upset my stomach the way apo cephalexin 500mg (orange tablet) does. What is difference and are both as effective? ## They are the same medication, in the same dosage, just manufactured by different companies, so they are both equally effective. I have a long history of sinusitus and MD has given me antibiotics to use. After 3 days with 1 cephalexin 100 mg p/day. Would swithcing to cephalexin 500 mgs 4x p day get faster results??? the bottle states disguard after 01/04/14...that is 1 month 1 day past. is it still safe to take? I was prescribed this for a sinus infection. First of all u cant take this with probenicid. I am also allergic to penicillin. after three days taking ceftin 500mg twice a day.
