This is gonna be pretty interesting but I'll be honest anyway - I believe my latest rx refill is fake. It does nothing but make my chest and stomach hurt and has remnants of orange capsule beads. Anybody know what any of the pills are that contain orange beads? ## Well, the first question is what medication is it SUPPOSED to be? And would you happen to know if the medication is from the Unites States or a foreign country? Looking for any otc med that is filled with white or orange beads ## The otc med-capsule filled with white and orange beads is a Sundown Natural Pure Caffeine 200mg (8 hr sustained release) pill. I have 100 of them sitting in front of me. Now I'm sure another company may make them but that exact same description of your meds is exactly what I have at my desk, in front of me now.

I'm prescribed 15 mg adderalls. I always get the name brand (blue/white capsules) which have orange beads. For some reason, the pharmacist gave me a generic version (orange pills)with white beads inside. This is the second time this happens in the last year and both times I noticed the beads were white and the generic brand seems to have quite a bit less beads than the name brand. I thought they were supposed to both be equal just different name brands. Why does the generic brand with white beads have less beads than the name brand which has the orange beads? The reason I bothered to check and I'm concerned is because last time I got the generic kind, they seemed less effective and like I was taking a lower dose. I found 3 different capsules. One is a clear and black (maybe maroon) capsule with orange and tan beads inside. Imprint is AHS on both clear and other color. The other one is a capsule, brown and clear but no imprint. Orange and white beads. I can’t find them online anywhere. I have blue capsules that say adderall xr 30 mg on them but they have only white beads. Is this generic or brand? And how are these different from the orange 30 mg adderall xr with the white and orange beads? ## @Ricky, When you switch between different manufacturers, the only noticeable thing I'm aware of that actually changes are the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), so that could be one reason why the beads are different colors - different dyes? As to whether or not it's a generic or brand that you have, my research shows that the orange 30mg pill marked with "Adderall XR" is indeed a brand name and not generic. The blue capsule on the other hand is also reported to be brand name Adderall XR... however, I'm seeing conflicting information from Shire Pharmaceu...

If there are no markings, we can rule it out as being a prescription product and there are quite a few over the counter possibilities. I have a bottle of vitamin C capsules that look just like this, so that what they might be. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Need to know the bead color of the 3061 capsule ## @jake, I'm not sure about "R 3061", but "R 3060" contains WHITE beads and is the 20mg extended release version from the same manufacturer (Actavis)... So odds are that the 30mg 3061 capsule may have the same color beads as the dosage below it. The only differentiating factors I'm aware of are the imprints and the capsule color itself. However I've also heard about Adderall capsules containing peach colored beads as well as combinations of orange and white together. If you have one why don't you open it up and check? In my regular prescription for Adderall XR, I opened a few of the capsules and found only white beads. (They've always been orange/white.) Also, they were much larger in comparison. Am I getting a placebo? They taste very sweet and had no noticible effects after I took one. I was taking 30mg xr capsules,and they had orange beads in them. I am now tking an extended release capsule, but the dosage is now 25mg. The beaqds appear to be like a greyish white, is that the color they are suppose to be? ## XR also stands for "extended release". So it sounds like you just changed dosages rather than going from immediate release to extended release capsules. The color of the beads could be attributed to various dyes or fillers that they mix into the beads. When you switch brand names, dosages, or manufacturers, this tends to be the primary factor that differentiates each pill (aside from the dosage of course). Would like to know what color the beads inside the capsule look like? ## @Nikki, Just curious, why is the color of the beads so important if you're obtaining your Adderall legally with a valid prescription? If you have to question the bead color in order to determine if it's real then I think you should probably throw it away. I don't know about the 25mg bead color, but the 20mg generic amphetamine + detroamphetamine extended release blue capsule from Actavis contains white beads. I've also heard about Adderall capsules containing peach colored beads as well as combinations of orange and white together. If you have one why not open it up to find out?

Adderall 20 mg xr (blue capsule) with r3060 on it. This has white beads in it. Is this normal because the orange capsules have orange and white beads in it. ## I can't seem to find a photograph of the pill, but I can confirm that your blue capsule imprinted with "R 3060" is identified as Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine extended release 20 mg. These ones are manufactured by Actavis Elizabeth LLC, so yes, they are real. Manufacturers can also change the look of a pill without any prior notice. So it's difficult to say whether or not these blue ones are commonly prescribed among the other color(s). I live with a questionable character who I have caught red handed taking my meds from me. I am prescribed amphetamine salts 30 mg xr, generic for adderall. The time I caught him I found that he had taken the pill apart and ingested the beads, then put the pill back together so I wouldn't know...really sneaky. Are these suppose to have the beads inside them or is it powder form? Theyre orange 30mg capsuls with R-3061 on them. Took one and immediately fell asleep? ## There doesn't appear to be any photos of this pill online, however, I did come across posts from others stating that this particular capsule imprinted with "R 3061" does in fact have beads. There was time that medications weren't regulated as strictly, so they weren't required to have markings. Additionally, even if they were newer than that, if they were done by a compounding pharmacy, they wouldn't have markings, since they usually use unmarked capsules.
