My doctor just started me on a round of steroids. She said not to take my naproxin with it. Forgot to ask if I can take my flexerol with it. Can I do that ? ## Hello, Carol! How are you? Ok so I pulled a shoulder muscle that gives me muscle spasms stiffing my neck and shoulders. My doctor prescribed me prednisone 20mg for 7 days and Voltaren gel. The prednisone 20mg bottle says "take one tablet by mouth twice a day" , so how do I take it like how many hours apart , will I get side effects and withdrawal when I'm done , also can I take it with ibeprofin or cyclobenzaprine music relaxers. I took 3 pills accidental because I read the label wrong. I'm so worried to even go to sleep ugh. Can anything happen to me? Hi, I have had chronic back pain for years and have seen various doctors for the problem. Most have prescribed either tramadol or hydrocodone along with muscles relaxers sometimes. I've also tried a round of steroids (prednisone) as well as non pharmaceutical options like physical therapy, stretching and light exercise when I can tolerate it in an effort to strengthen my core. Most of these treatments have helped to some degree but the pain inevitably returns (and really many of the medications have only slightly dulled the pain but I still have had difficulty getting through the day even when taking them.
