Buscopan Active Ingredient

i have recurring stones in my bile duct. have a prescription for buscopan...8 at once if having a bad attach, does that sound correct? ## Buscopan contains the active ingredient Hyoscine, it is used as an abdominal antispasmodic. And no, that doesn't sound right, on their website about the medication, the manufacturer lists the dosing as 2 tablets, taken 4 times a day, rather than all at once. Have you tried asking your doctor about it?

Just needed some advise if im allergic to Buscopan, can i take Librax? Will i get the same allergy? Do they have the similar ingredients?. ## Hi Kim, What about Buscopan causes the allergy? The type of medication it is? ie: Anti- spasmodic, or a certain ingredient? Librax contains the active ingredients "chlordiazepoxide" and "clidinium", Buscopan contains the active ingredient "hyoscine butylbromide". Therefore, the ingredients don't seem to be similar but I believe that they do treat similar issues. i want to know why buscopan is given to to pregnant woman before giving birth? ## Buscopan contains the active ingredient Butylscopolamine and it is mainly used, in these cause, for its antispasmodic properties. That means that it can reduce some of the pain associated with the muscle flexing and spasms that can occur with giving birth. ROUND WHITE NO NUMBERS, ETC; NO SCORES ## Buscopan is not available in the U.S., but it contains the active ingredient Butylscopolamine. It is used to help treat and prevent the symptoms of IBS. As to a description of the tablet, since it is not in the U.S. databases, I do not know if that is what you have or not. I could not find any description or direct image to look at. All prescription tablets in the U.S. have to have markings on them to enable their ID. Do you have any questions?

Buscopan Tablets contain the active ingredient Hyoscine, and are used as an abdominal antispasmodic. Buscopan is indicated for the relief of spasm of the genito-urinary tract or gastro- intestinal tract and for the symptomatic relief of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I have also read that this medication can be used to treat mild to moderate symptoms of Diverticulitis. From what I can gather, the usual dose of Buscopan (hyoscine) tablets is 1 or 2 10 mg tablets per day. If you need to take this medication regularly, the usual dose is 1 tablet 3 to 5 times a day...
