Have you considered other- less harsh- methods of pain relief? I imagine that if you are experiencing kidney failure you should seek emergency medical attention, and the doctors/surgeons may be able to provide you with alternatives that could help you-not hurt you. Hi, all, I just moved to Covington, KY from. Brooklyn, NY. I am taking Nucynta ER 150 mg/3 x a day, lyrica, celexa, Xanax 2 mg/3 x a day and a muscle relaxant. The main issues are the Nucynta and Xanax. I have had doctor after doctor laugh in my face when asking for this prescription. I started Xanax five years ago and Nucynta about a year ago. No one wants to prescribe Nucynta, either. I have tried Vicodin, oxy--everything. But finally found that Nucynta (a drug I paid $1500 for WITH insurance in NY) works for me. I live in brooklyn ny...bought some 2mg 3722 bars that seem to crumble easily and WILL NOT break on the lines. I have been on the generic oxymorhpone for years and never had a problem getting it where I am from. However now that I am in New York City pharmacies say that they are unable to order it. It's always hard to tell if they legitimately cannot order it or they just don't want to deal with another pain patient. Can anyone recommend pharmacies to me? I see so many people with the same fears I have had in the past and still do. I am a P.A. And also a chronic pain sufferer. I have been on meds for 8 years and have the hardest times getting legal prescriptions filled. I actually derided twice myself with proper use of needed meds with no side effects. The only problem I had was extreme pain and ended up in the hospital after I got off meds due to NSAID use and other problems to the point where I was told to go back on opiates. I have been obese all my life except for brief periods where I Iost some weight only to gain it back. I'm now a 61 year old male, 290 lbs, 5'7" and was diagnosed for the first time with hypothyroidism in December of 2011, and I was started on 50 mcg's daily of Levothyroxine (Synthroid).
