Best Time To Take Viibryd Morning Or Night
5 Topics FoundI was taking viibryd at night, but I couldn't sleep. Started taking it in the morning a few days ago. I'm sleeping fine, but today I fell asleep in the afternoon and couldn't wake up. My psych doc thinks it's helping me. I think he's right, but what can I do? The insomnia had some scary effects on my mental health, but how can I enjoy my life if I can't stay awake? ## How long have you been taking it? Typically the side effects wear off, once your body gets used to the medication, but that can take about 6 to 8 weeks. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, and diarrhea. Ref: Viibryd ## I take it at night. If I take it in the morning I'll have terrible nightmares that night because the meds are wearing off. As it is now, if I st...
Still on my starter pack. At 20 mg. I haven't had any dreams, my big concern is energy. Should I take it in the morning? or at night? Discuss. ## It may really be a matter of trial and error to see how it affects you, so you know when to take it. It may cause drowsiness as a side effect, so if you experience too much of it, then you may do better taking it at night. ## I have tried both and would rather take it at night. Then I started experiencing these weird surges that made my eyes squeeze shut (not unlike a quick seizure) they best way I can explain it is if you stare at something a long time and force yourself to look away you blink involuntarily. It would happen at the point of being almost asleep. It scared me to death! Now when I take it in the am I have no energy and have a...
Is.it best to take viibryd in the morning when I wake up? Or at night before I sleep? I switched my brintellix for this viibryd monthly taper dose. Days 1-7,10mg; Days 8-14, 20mg; Days 15-30, 40mg. I know to take with food for best result. But what time of day is best time to ensure I get the best happy feeling! Thanks so much, Junie Hicks ## Hello, Junie! How are you? These types of medications won't actually provide you with a happy feeling, that's not how they work. As to when to take it, that is entirely up to you. You can try taking it in the morning, with breakfast and if it causes too much drowsiness, you may want to switch to taking it at night, unless your doctor instructed otherwise. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, ...
I just picked up my sample pack of Vii, any recommendations on when the best time to take it is....morning or night and is with food a necessary need? Just a little nervous always am when trying something new....you would think I'd be used to it by now but side effects are NEVER fun but I'm hoping in the long run it's worth it. ## With SP I have found it is MUCH better to take before bed, IMO. Be sure to take with food! I would not skip or even be a few hours late between doses. This is one thing I am watching, besides caffeine intakes as the cause of sleep paralysis. Defintely do not skip. I know the half life is relatively short, but for me i think it could be a side effect if I skip or am late. ## It's really a matter of finding what works best for you. it may cause n...
First day (morning) after taking Viibryd. Took my first 10 mg last night before bed. Slept ok. No weird nightmares. Regular 6/7 hours of sleep. But I do take Ambien. Did not take with food and was OK. Woke up with tummy hurting and had to go to the bathroom twice. (they're right on that part). But... best of all- I def. feel so much happier after just one dose. Not sure yet how it will work on my panic attacks/anxiety but so far I am hopeful. After trying just about all the other SSRI's that always did not work for one reason or another... I am hoping this one just keeps getting better. Worked fast. I usually wake up very lack luster. Today... I woke up happy. Big difference!!! And that was just the first dose. I will check back after a week to update. I was def nervous taking t...
