Hi, iv had the jadelle in for 2 and half weeks, when I run a figure down my arm it hurts. I can feel pain when I bend my arm or if I lay my son on my arm. I can also feels like a tight string like possibly a nerve next to the jadelle under the skin. Pain only seems to be getting worse. Should I go to doctors or hospital or will the pain go away? ## Hello, Bobby! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Yes, you should have it checked out, it might not have been placed correctly. The FDA lists possible Jadelle side effects as including dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS like symptoms. The tight string spot that you feel is most likely an irritated muscle. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Hi, I've had jadell for 2y...

hey ladies. i wanted to know if anyone has had the same symptoms as me. iv got pelvic and lower back pain, nausea , dizzymes and sometimes i feel like i can feel kicking andwhat feels like baton hicks ## If you are actively engaging in intercourse, there is always a risk of getting pregnant. Using a contraceptive, such as this, just helps lower your risk, but it doesn't do away with it entirely. The only full proof method to prevent pregnancy with 100% reliability is abstinence. Thus, the only way to get an answer to your question is by having yourself checked for pregnancy. Have you consulted your doctor? ## not been to the Dr but i did do a test which came up negative but i can't shake the feeling of something being there ## Hi marshmellow, i get the same feelings the kicking,...

Hi this is my. 10 month of having the jadelle implant and just a few weeks now have been having really bad chest shoulder n neck pain. Are the implants the cause. Went to docs n was diagnosed with gas n given meds but still pain persists. Pls help ## Hello, Igadum! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. What was the doctor's diagnosis and what medication did they prescribe? Hormonal contraceptives don't usually cause such symptoms as typical side effect. The U.S. FDA lists theirs as typically including nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS-like symptoms and mood swings. ## Diagnosed as having gas and given gastrogel tablets. Nothing has helped.

Hello I really need your help. I just have jadelle on December last year till today and I have period on January and on February till this month I didn't have my periods. Is this ok or am I pregnant? ## Skipping your period while using some form of hormonal contraceptive can be normal, according to the side effects listed by the NIH, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. However, the only way to know whether or not you are pregnant is by having yourself checked for it to be sure. Are you on any other medications? ## I have been on jadelle since 2015. I had a jadelle now for a year plus, with several changes in my flow of mensuration, and now feel pains on my breast and nipples. ## What you're experiencing is actually one of the most common side effects of most hormonal contraceptives. So in my honest opinion, it's nothing to be overly concerned about. However if the side effects become too bothersome or severe, I would encourage you to contact a gynecologist at your earliest convenience for advice on balancing your hormones, by adjusting the dose or through other more natural means. The breast soreness/pain is directly related to a fluctuation in hormone levels, so finding closer balance is essential to lessening the severity of these symptoms. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Jadelle Details I hope this in...

I got Jadelle on 11/07/2013 . I was fine from July up until the start of September when I started getting chest pains regularly and twice they were so severe so much that I couldn't even move. They lasted about 10 to 15 minutes. Is this related to the Jadelle implant? ## Hello, Mutsa! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the chest pain. However, all chest pain should be checked out by a doctor immediately! It may be related to the hormones in the Jadelle, or it may be due to something else, but either way, it needs to be checked out medically for your own safety. Is there anything else I can help with?

I still have jadelle but it expired last year. I was having my normal periods but just this month i missed my period, having morning sickness, vomiting, painful breasts and period pains. So I took a pregnancy test 5 days after i missed my periods but it's still negative. Is it normal? I'm very worried. ## If the contraceptive has expired and you've been engaging in intercourse, then yes, there is a risk of pregnancy. 5 days might be too soon for it to be detected. However, all the symptoms you've described can be signs of pregnancy, according to the NIH. But, they can also be signs of hormonal fluctuations from it expiring and your body trying to balance your hormones back out on its own. Have you consulted your doctor? ## My Jadelle has expired since the 8th of Jan 2017...

Does it hurt getting Jadelle implants taken out? If it does, is is worse pain than getting wisdom teeth taken out? It is possible to be asleep during the procedure? I am undecided whether I want to go on Jadelle implants or get Depo Provera injections? I like the idea of Jadelle because it is long term contraception, which Depo Provera is not. I like the idea of not going to the doctor regularly to obtain contraception, as I find it difficult to get to the doctor and I like the idea of long term contraception. Please advise. ## No it does not hurt they give you an aesthetic and no you do not need to be asleep as you do not feel a thing. Quick and easy. ## Thank you for that. do you get many side effects from using Jadelle, such as migranes and weight gain? Does antibiotics affect it? Pl...

From what I've read, it's certainly not uncommon for people to experience these kinds of side effects on any type of medication that effects the hormones. In my opinion after reading your description, it sounds like it may be a good idea to start considering other alternatives to Jadelle. At least for long term safety. If you end u...

I've had headaches back pains, bloating, going toilet a lot sore boobs and everything.. I checked to see If I was hapu but it came up negative... idk if it's normal or my bodies just recovering from having it in my arm for that long... and the date today is 16/10/16 and still having side effect.. ## It can take awhile for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own and for things to improve, according to the NIH. What you're experiencing are all normal withdrawal effects, according to the U.S. FDA. Additionally, you can also experience such symptoms naturally, from...

Hie i have got jaddele for over a year have been going on menstrution for 8mnth what it removed where must l go im in capetown thank u ## Hi blesssy, Jadelle (levonorgestrel) implants are said to be inserted and removed by a minor surgical procedure at your healthcare provider's office. So you would essentially have to have a doctor or gynecologist in cape town remove them for you no matter where you ended up going. From what I've read, removing Jadelle implants could take longer than insertion and may be more difficult and/or cause more pain, especially if the implants are difficult to locate. Occasionally, additional incisions and/or office visits are required, depending on the situation. Hopefully this info helps to answer your question. Would you say that the experiences you...
